No, but it's gravely embarrassing when you still belief when evidence has completely disproved them. Religion just continues to backtrack. The Roman Catholic Church denounced Galileo as a heretic in the 17th century, but in 1992 the Pope had to admit he was correct. Maybe in a few centuries down the line, religion will finally admit God does not exist as well.

I am using evidence to support why I believe what I believe. You need a "creationist" on this thread. I have many a time pondered on whether what I believe is true, and I came to this conclusion:

I don't need (nor want) a dreamer on this thread. I want somebody with whom I can have a rational, evidence and logic-based debate.

Even if people tried to prove the Jehovah's Witnesses wrong...

I'd have morals instilled in me. Following what the Bible says has not hindered me in life.

That's a logical contradiction. Religion preaches that holy books teach us morals, not that moral values are innate. Incidentally, it has been proven morality is innate in humans, as well as other primates.

Nobody's saying it does. I can see why religion may help some people, for instance, giving them hope in desperate times. But this does not make its teaches true.

So, what you are saying is that anybody who is not a Jehovah's Witness has inferior, sub-standard moral values? If so, care to back it up with evidence?

I have some very down-to-earth friends, I see more in life than slaving away for money. I look at the other kids my age, with their priorities in life being umpalumpa, drugs and alcohol. And then look at mine. These kids are still bludging off their parents. But by having a simple outlook in life, with different priorities, I've been able to support myself on my own for 2 years. I'm respected in the community by non-believers. My grandmother opposes my faith, but yet she calls me her favourite grandson, because I treat her how I wish to be treated.

I catch the train with zombies every day. All these people going to slave for work in the city. They only have one outlook on life. They're only in it for the money. But money will always have it's limit - it's end. You can slave for money all your life, but after you die you cant use it. What a waste of your life. But by having good friendships with people, being kind to people despite many grave injustices I have faced, that will help me come to appreciate a full life, and I'd be satisfied.

I work in the city, in I.T i'm not a zombie i enjoy my job i help people by fixing there pc (in a very general way) and make there life easier by implimenting better ways for them to work using I.T.

I also have a right laugh at work with my collogues thats freindiship i proberly wouldn't have otherwise.

I like to go out with my freinds and have a laugh and have a drink, it don't make me some kind of evil person.

I just don't need somone brainwashing me how to live my life.

To be fair I don't think it was particularly aimed at anyone mate.

Then why call anyone who works in an office job or the city a mindless zombie, people have to work but when he's old enough to get a job perhaps he'll understand that.

On top of that is ignorace so proven fact really really irratates me.

Kinda crazy that I'm slightly enjoying this thread yet not for the debate but for what I am learning from some of our esteemed members, you know who you are.
