how you do in the lower formulae usually helps you get into said race winning car does it not?

sure, but it's not the only factor.
For example, Piquet would not have gotten his seat if he would be alongside Heikki, and Lewis would not have gotten his seat without a solid driver alongside. Massa... would have probably not gotten into Ferrari without MS / Kimi there, and without his relationship with Jean Todt... And Bourdais would be the TOP candidate for an F1 seat.

Just because he's won in Indy car don't mean hes gonna win at F1.

Hes alright but look at Mansell he won the WDC then went over and won the Indy car relativly easily in his 1st year.

Diffrent level of driver mate.

I think Bourdais is on the Formula One level. If this year's Toro Rosso is fairly competitive, I reckon we'll see him up there in the points and on the podium on more than one occasion. His performance in 2008 was great, but ultimately masked by a lot of bad luck at races. He even showed he could be as good as, if not faster than, Vettel on a few occasions. But his hard work was usually torn away from him in the end, which is a shame.

erm, *cough* Bourdais is 87 with 23% and Vettel was 67.
Hulkenburg is only a test driver right now, but his percentage is 29% putting him at 32.

WAT?

You said Lewis was the only one in the top 100 of % wins. Whilst Bourdais and Vettel are actully both in the top 100 as well.

But I agree, either De Le Rose, Paffet or Di Resta should move to Force India. But I'm pretty sure I know who'll be the first to grab that seat, and it'll be Di Resta. He beat Vettel to the F3 crown, and after the year Vettel had, teams are looking at Di Resta and thinking theres a champion to be had there.

I think Force India is strange team, because part of me questions their driver line-up completely. Sutil looked good in 2007, but simply because Albers was woeful, as was Yamamoto. Fisi as we know isn't exactly the fastest guy out there, he's there for developing the car and consistency. However, Sutil still didn't really match Fisi. Fisi did a much better job, which makes me questions Sutils potenial. Is monaco in the wet the only place he really shines. I think this will be important year for Sutil. Force India seem to have a decent car. So we'll see whether or not he can really cut it. But if not, I can see Maylla bringing in new a totally new line-up.

I mean, you really have to question what Di Resta will be like in F1. There's the chance that he's at the same level as Vettel. Someone who people are calling mini-schumacher.

Whats prompted me to ask this question is that i stumbled across a ranking of the best drivers for the 2009 season on

http://www.rankopedia.com/ZoneID=3/1881 ... ship-(2009)/Step1/15304.htm

and they have voted Lewis Hamilton first and Robert kubica second (which has suprised me)

Hmmm. How to phrase this. Ok...

What language is that site written in? English

What country is Hamilton from? England

Draw your own conclusions.

Not really its one of the 1st places i'd look if looking for a new driver.

That's a pretty abysmal way to run a team mate.

Wrong again gobby look at Mclarens Win ratio compared to Ferrari's considering we've been in the sport 10 years les than you have alot less FIA support.

Everyone on here is saying its either Lewis or Alonso, Lewis beat alonso in his rookie year.

End of.
