Why didn't McLaren test today?

McLaren is also present at this week's test but has decided to run from Monday to Thursday rather than Sunday to Wednesday as originally planned. Lewis Hamilton will drive for the first two days before handing over to team-mate Heikki Kovalainen

I don't know enough about how Brawn's diffuser is designed to say whether or not it's illegal, but all of this complaining is about rich coming from Briatore and Ferrari: those two are the biggest rule-benders and breakers in Formula One history! Sure, only a couple of months ago Ferrari's exhaust was clearly illegal - so obviously there was no way it could have been an oversight!

F1-Live:
It is reported that Brackley-based Brawn, who have astonished the Formula One world with their test pace in the wake of Honda's withdrawal, has taken the controversial Williams and Toyota-like diffuser interpretation even further.

Express claims the BGP001 design effectively links the floor with the diffuser in a curved fashion, with the result of radically increased rear downforce.

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali on Saturday was quoted as dividing F1 teams into two camps: those (including Ferrari) who applied the 2009 rules 'to the letter' and those who took 'a different approach'.

So the question apparently is... is the "curved fashion" diffuser illegal or not?
if it is legal... then Brawn have certainly hit the nail on the head, because their testing times are out of this world. If it is illegal, then the FIA better explain the rules further before they ban it...
