Im really exited for 09, and i hope we can see who the best drivers are.

For one, i dont think Lewis is the best, and if Mclaren is not at the top from the get-go then definitely Lewis will get to show what he's made of from within the pack. Massa too, he's done well, and improved a lot but is yet to show he can make wins succesfully in the field.

Fernando, Kimi (also Kubica and Vettel to a smaller extent) have shown they can push their car, and drive it to get results.

I am interested to see how Hamilton will not cope with being at the front, if what McLaren are saying is correct

Sorry, but the moment between Glock and Hamiliton at Monza was a tad ignorant. The two were side by side, and Glock had to move onto the grass to avoid being shunted into a crash.
As for Massa. Yeah he messed up the first two races, and we all seen Silverstone. But aside from that he did everything he ever could to win, and coped perfectly with the pressure. In the end, it was pit stop work and engine faliures that let him down.

Really, we could argue about the past all day, but whats done is done. I just think Hamiltion buckled a little under pressure at times. But 2009 is another year, and I'm happy enough to be proven wrong if he does a good job this year.

And Massa RAMMING hamilton in Japan wasn't?

If you re-watch the video you can actualy see massa tie his Kamikaze headband around his helmet and go for it.

Thats going too far.

Its racing mate honestly there not out there to make freinds there out there to win.

I'd rather see a bit of tire rubbing than Hamilton give in and let Glock pass him, but its not like he just punted him off the track.

http://www.driverdb.com/win-percentage/

Lewis is the only F1 driver in the top 100 of win %

Its not that acurate since its his total career and not every f1 drivers path to the top is the same.

However

Lewis is 32%
Vettle is 25%
Alonso is 19%
Felipe & Kimi's is 18%
Heikki is 15%
Kubica is 8%
Rubens is 7%
Button is 3%

Now... take away all the races these guys drove in a Non winning car and then re-do the percentages. Vettel and Kubica are the best. With Barrichelo the worst... so, not a very accurate/reliable list to see who the best driver is right now.

EDIT: by the way... the full list was still nice.

No, Kubica only has 10 wins to his name in Lower Formula

Lewis has 34wins not counting F1 and Karts

Vettle has 29 without F1.

Rubebns has 11, Jenson 14

kinda hard to compare anyway again because Vettle got most of his wins from Formula BMW which Lewis and Kubica didn't compete in

But in Formula 3 Euroseries Kubica manged 1 win across two seasons Lewis manged 16 and Vettle 4

Vettle and Lewis even competed in the 2005 series together Lewis scored nothing but podiums or wins with a few no points finishes Vettle got alot of no points finishes with a few podiums

Lewis won the series Followed by Adrian Sutil, Vettle came 5th.

Yes, of course. But not all of them have the same lower formula experience and again... its alot of data to deal with. I say... best driver is the one you like most. Except Lewis :)
