My favorite plane is the one I am in and that is carrying me away from the daily stress and struggles of everyday life ie vacation man! Seriously I do like planes alot yet I do not have the knowledge to point out any others accept the SR71 Blackbird and the P51 Mustang.

as somone that has to deal in Aircraft on a daily basis. I would haveto say a glider would be nice, as it is not a horrible noisy stinky disturbance. (the number of times I have missed meetings because I have to cross the runway to get to the meeting place is an annoyance also)

However I am torn between the Kestrel Mayfly/Spitfire (because of the sheer sexyness of them) and the Avro Vulcan because of what it meant and what it did. The TR1 I also like because it never really achieved what it could of been capable of.

Mosquito - a true classic
F86 - I do like the aircraft of the era, but not really into it (plus as a Brit we only really managed the Lightning and Meteor)
F4 - Did not realise until now anyone called them anything other than F4 Phantom

Well back in WWII is when the F4F Wildcat flew but then there was also the gull winged F4U Corsair then the F4 phantom

I'm more interested in civil and general aviation. I love the Boeing 737, especially the old -200 series. :cloud9:

I'm not sure myself. I've just always preferred civil and general aviation. In terms of the 737, I think it looks beautiful, is pleasant to fly and is a good all-round aircraft.

The engines on that older version of the 737 look different to the ones you nornally see these days on the Boeing 737 300.

Although I don't like either.

Bigger is better and more comfortable. Boeing 747 below.

But faster even better still. Too bad no more Concordes are around.

I will always love this aircraft - a Cessna 172SP - as it was the first plane I ever flew. :cloud9:

Yeah, the changed the engines for the new generation of 737s. The newer engines were quieter, more fuel efficient and more powerful, but they don't sound anything like the older ones. 8-)
