Sakon Yamamoto is clearly the best.

It's all about him and Yuji Ide.

The Best!! I feel bad for them though.

I thought Hamiliton was great in 2007. I was there supporting him to win that year. But 2008 too many things changed. He became more cocky and less considerate of other drivers posistion. Monza is a key example, where Lewis seemed to think that other cars didn't have the right to re-challenge for their posistion. The main incident being shoving Glock completely of track. Also, what on earth was he doing in Bahrain of the starting grid.

Sorry but thats racing if you don't like it don't watch F1.

And your own driver massa was far worse in Japan.

I relize that it's only his second season, but his first season was smooth and almost flawless. He only really lost it during the last 2 races after being too aggresive when he didn't need to be. But in 2008, he just seemed all over the place. At times he was dominant and others he made mistakes you'd expect from Piquet. It was that up and down form that makes me think he did a better job in 2007.

Yeh but there was no pressure in 2007 and 2008 there was and pressure makes you make mistakes.

But with McLaren looking like they'll be fighting the mid-feild. I think it'll be interesting to see Hamiliton deal with different situations. Nearly every F1 driver has started in a slower car, something Hamiliton hasn't. So it'll be interesting to see how he deals with that, and how he makes oppurtunities.

You can't say where Mclaren will be or any other team for that matter until Oz, for all you know it could Brawn, Toyota, BMW, Williams, Ferrari, Mclaren

Infact BMW are being aufully quiet and have topped the tables in testing and they sand bagged abit last year.

Even if Mclaren are in the midfield in OZ they wont' be there for long.

Mathematically, it's clearly Fernando Alonso anyway.

2 WCCs trumps 1 any day. Sorry Kimi, Lewis. Especially since Fernando won both of those against the most successful driver ever.

True but LH has had alot less time, futhermore mathmaticly in the same car LH Beat Alonso.

I don't think saying that he had a lot less time is necessarily fair. He started off in a title-contending car, whereas Alonso spent seasons in cars that weren't capable of that kind of thing.

I agree but alonso still had a year with Minardi and 2 years with Renault to learn F1 thats going to give you alot more experience than not doing it.

Perhaps China wouldn't of happened and he would of been a 2x WDC?

You could say that. But then with 'ifs', you could say that Alonso would have come out of 2007 as a three-time champion and then again out of 2008 as a four-time champion. However, they are all just 'ifs'.

Being a fan of Alonso he gets my vote here, but i could argue for Kimi, Massa, Kubica, Vettel & Hamilton if asked to do so :D

Actually I would feel comfortable saying one of those six drivers will win the championship this year. 8-)

Hamilton/Alonso in the McLaren wasn't a fair fight, so let's stop bringing that up.

Thats abit petty to be fair, i mean if Lewis or Hekki don't win it this year i be gutted but i'd still respect whoever did win it.

I'm not saying I wouldnt respect Hamiton, I'm just saying I would happy if anyone other than him won the championship. I didnt bad mouth him last year when he won.

Come on man I dont talk like a loser, and try my best not to put down anyone. But that doesnt mean I have to like every driver. :P

Sorry, but the moment between Glock and Hamiliton at Monza was a tad ignorant. The two were side by side, and Glock had to move onto the grass to avoid being shunted into a crash.
As for Massa. Yeah he messed up the first two races, and we all seen Silverstone. But aside from that he did everything he ever could to win, and coped perfectly with the pressure. In the end, it was pit stop work and engine faliures that let him down.

Really, we could argue about the past all day, but whats done is done. I just think Hamiltion buckled a little under pressure at times. But 2009 is another year, and I'm happy enough to be proven wrong if he does a good job this year.

I have put a bit of thought into this. The only way I can think of a way of who is the best driver is the driver that has made the most money out of F1. So by following this theory.

this man

is the Greatest Driver in F1

Nope - you have to change your criteria. This is NOT acceptable :director:

Heh, very true. Over his entire F1 career so far there's only been two races where he's failed to win.
