Has anyone got any insight into what happened with Mark Webber's race during Canada?

One safety car hurt his race, the other one put him into an awesome position. He was due for another pitstop during the last safety car period, why didn't he pit then?

Why wait and pit under race conditions?

I say everyone was confused and didnt want the same thing that happened to Rosberg and Alonso.

The safety car rule confused the issue so much that the racing became a pure question of luck. It wasn't even a question of using strategy in choosing the time you pit. It all depended on whether or not the safety car was out, and nobody has any control on that.

Bring back pure unadulterated racing, without the gimicks.

On a different tack, I'm sick to death of Bernie and his threats. Now he's threatening the Indy organisers again just like a spoilt little brat teasing his friends with his latest toy, India in this case. Nowhere in a full page press release was there any talk of what's best for the sport. it's all about how good or bad the deal the organisers do with Bernie, in other words how much he pockets out of it.

And Max and the maFIA just sit there.

I would not blame the safety car for Webber's performance. He does what he always does. Qualifies well and goes backwards in the race. Its like he can concentrate really well for one lap and one lap only. He was pretty ragged in the race losing positions with desprate passing attempts. Call me unimpressed.

well considering the stop go that Fern and Nico got, i think teams were abit iffy to pitunder the safety car and wait until it went back into the pits, a few did that like Rubens and it screwed their race

I think people were confused by the whole pitting generally around the safety car periods as Rosberg and Alonso got penalties and then Massa and Fizzy got the black flag.

They can't all be that thick !!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps it is the new safety car rule that's daft.

And guess whose idea that was? Bernie's lap dog - same guy that's dreaming up all these bright new ideas for 2011 and beyond.

Can't somebody knock him on the head and bring him back down to earth.
