In terms of last year, Vettel, for making the most of every situation, and actually winning in Monza. Definitely the best drive I've ever watched.

Alonso is up there to, but Piquet makes him look good j/k But its hard to rank drivers.

I'd say it's very close between Alonso and Hamilton, both have an unbelievable gift to find that 1% more than other drivers. . . and thats all it takes!

Ranking drivers? It's basically impossible. One can easily say the likes of Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher were geniuses, but trying to rank the current field without the context of their whole careers is a minefield.

Whats prompted me to ask this question is that i stumbled across a ranking of the best drivers for the 2009 season on
