Yeh i was abit dissapointed tho that it didn't top the times.

great feat of engineering.

I didnt expect it to top the times to be honest. I mean the thing weighs more than most pick up trucks, and its more of a cruiser than a track car.

Its still an amazing car though, and that air brake looks cool. :)

Yeh it was fun seeing it race he eurofighter and the car vs light aircraft when JC in the Veyron raised May and Hammond in a plane

That race was awesome between Hammond and the Euro fighter, but I didnt see that episode when Jeremy race May and Hammond. I watch the Top Gear on BBCAmerica but they play the same episodes over and over. When they finally come out with a new episode, they just mix bits of old episodes and call it a new one. :banghead:

By all accounts the Veyron's handling is excellent. Other sport's cars may be slightly better than it in this area, but when you consider the Veyron's size, weight, all of the kit it's got etc., it really is a far better all-round car. It truly is a superb piece of engineering.

So having spoken to someone who was at Geneva, this Veyron apparently has no extra performance, just a one-off paint job and there's only one being made.

A quote from Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1 Supercar
One really good thing, and I simply never expected this, is that it does change direction. It hardly feels its weight. Driving it on a circuit I expected a sack of cement, but you can really throw it at the tight chicanes.

Helps that it has ridiculously wide tyres, they make an Enzo's look like bicycle wheels...

The concept of the Veyron seem's to have been lost by the members here.

I take it that was directed at me, and i can assure you the concept is not 'lost' on me, there's nothing wrong with talking about the merits of what a road car can do on a track though! :)

No sir it was not directed at you  . My meaning was that some commented on its cornering like it should handle like an Enzo or Elise and thought that was just alittle off of what the car is and its purpose.

I don't like the look of it one damn bit, seriously the earlier veyron's looked a heck of a lot better. The only nice thing I reckon is the contrast in the paint type.
