Hi thought that as im new to the forum i had better introduce myself
My name is Kyle, i'm 20 and i live in Guildford, Surrey. I am just coming to the end of my final year at the University of Surrey - just finishing my dissertation on the effects of sports sponsorship (I have noticed others on here have done similar!). Finishing in May though and have no idea where the times gone!!
Formula 1 was the first sport i started following. Although i am a keen Arsenal supporter and watch and play football quite a lot, F1 was there for me first. My Dad used to watch it and would always stick up for the British guy like Mansell (He still doesnt stop going on about that Monaco 92 race!). He basicly got me interested . My first memory would be around the time Schumacher and Hill had their tussles but really started following the sport every race when ITV got the coverage in 1997. Schumacher was the main man and i liked Ferrari for a while but the whole Austria 02 thing really pissed me off. I wasn't so keen on Jean Todt as i got older either.
When Schumacher disappeared, i quite liked Alonso and always had a little soft spot for McLaren so i started to support them. Then Hamilton came on the scene and from then on it was all about Lewis. Not so keen on Alonso anymore after the spygate scandal so it's all about Hamilton and McLaren!!. Plus there was the small fact that McLaren is in fact my local team (Woking is 5 mins drive from my house!)
Don't know what else to say really! If you have any questions please ask!!
