I'm Aussie too. However, living in Tasmania for three years, means that to the mainlanders I'm Tasweigian, but to the Tasweigians I'm a mainlander. So I guess I just don't belong anywhere.
But I assure you, I don't have three heads. I left just before they started to grow. Err.... Aussie humour.
Great Britain is a whole country in my opinion. You compete in the Olympics as Great Britain, yet in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, you're 4 separate entities. That gives you 4 times more chance to make it to the World Cup, and therefore, 4 times more chances to win it. And why should North Ireland be entitled to their own Football team, who are nowhere near being their own country, whilst Gibraltar, in the same position don't get recognised?
The Olympics is all we compete in as GB - Rugby, Football, Cricket etc.. etc.. etc.. is ALL seperate
And Northern Ireland is not part of Great Britan, its part of the UK.
Great Britan is England, Scotland and Wales.
And Northern Ireland is as much their own country as wales is.
Your thinking of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which is the UK
Gibraltar looks so pretty!
I'd respect the Poms a bit more I reckon, if they were GB. I cannot understand the Scots, who are the Welsh, and why do the Poms suck so much in cricket and soccer? And... everything else? If not for Lewis Hamilton, you guys would just be epic failures.
Yeh because everyone knows Australians are amazing at Football? lol
But saying you're British- now that's just fancy! Perhaps if you were "The British Empire" the Yanks would stop screwing with my Spell check! Aaargh!
British means your mixed heratige as in i'm British because my Dad is Irish and My Mum is English so i'm British i guess.
It's gaol, not "jail." There is a "u" in colour. "Organisation" is spelled with an "s." It's "zed" not "zee," in regards to the pronunciation of "z." And you can kiss my arse over putting a hyphen in the word "co-operation!" Australia is losing it's identity. I mean, it's a game of spot-the-aussie on the train into work. I can't understand train guard with his Indian accent. And now, Yank-English is our official writing language!
And surprisingly, the highly offensive C-word was not a highly offensive word at all. If you look up Aussie slang in Wikipedia, you will see it was actually a term of endearment. Damn, wiki's down.
