This is great news. 20 cars on the grid: the more the merry!

What is great about this team is that they haven't had a development stop all the way. They kept working on the new car even without having a power plant ready. So now hopefully they can battle for some 'best of the rest' places this year. If they are competitive with the rest of the middle pack then Brawn could pull one or two surprises out of the hat the coming season. After all, he is known for his cunning strategies! Also, the Mercedes / Brawn combination might be a good one...we will have to wait and see.

I still am a little disappointed Michael Schumacher didn't get in on this deal. I would love to see him reunited with Brawn to craft a team together!

Are Honda going to use McLarens running gear? anyone heard?

as for MS i believe there are still Sponsors at Ferrari that are there specifically because Schumi is still linked to them. If he were to go to another team that would break these sponsorship terms of contract.

Really glad about this and looking forward to seeing more of it.

it doesnt seem to have a kers sticker on it so presume it isnt fitted at the moment.

I like the livery although it wont stay like that for long, sort of reminds me of the btcc 1990 season, gravetts white car with no sponsers nearly all season winning everything. I hope this is something similar.

at least its got a decent engine too so thats always a good thing, maybe even better than a honda engine.

It'll be very interesting to see how things go for BGP.
It's quite possible that team could've suffered from a lack of motivation over the last few months, and created a car that can't quite compete. I mean, the field is so tight right now, the slightest loss in performance, say 2 tenths, could mean the difference between mid-feild and last. You have to think that BGP are on the back foot with their lack of testing, and awkward management switch. But Ross Brawn is a smart guy, and there's no doubt he will have the management down, and the team working to its fullest. He's already made the right move choosing Barrichello over Senna.

On other topics, I wonder will they keep the livery all year long. I have say, I quite like the taste in colours, even if they car is a bit bare right now. But BGP could run a predominately white car this year, as to create an image of a blank canvas for new sponsors. I've seen it done before.

Either way, it's great having another privateer team on the grid. I have to say, this seems like the best result for the team, seeing as they couldn't be in safer hands. Plus, we're not down on car numbers this year, and next year we'll have another 2 cars making a grid 22 again. 2009's still looking like an amazing year.

Woah, that car looks fantastic. The front wing looks especially interesting. It will be interesting to see how fast it is compared to cars who have had far more track time.

And with a "proper" livery, that thing would easily be in the top 2-3 of the best looking cars on the grid. Really can't wait now!!!

I was also wondering why the car has the old tires on it but it could be just a case of using up the old stock?

They would definitely not be using old tyres for testing, I get the feeling there's something fishy about that site.

EDIT: I think they're meant to be wets or inters or whatever but it's the CG that's making it look wierd.
