How much do you think that the Buemi decision may have played a small part in Berger's decision to leave?

:cloud9:

I think that this was the decision Brawn wanted to make from a driver point of view. However, had Petrobras said they would sponsor whichever team Bruno Senna went to, then Senna would quite easily have taken the drive, I think.

Still, great news. Now let's hope that the RA109 is the front-runner Brawn is claiming and that Rubens can have that WDC that he deserves. Wishful thinking, yes, but a man can hope, right?

There is 0 chance that if that car can win a WDC, it will do it for Rubens over Jenson :P

That being said...

Yay for Rubens! Great to see him sticking around. Easily one of the most likable guys in Formula 1. Probably a smart move from a racing standpoint over Senna whether Senna's quicker or not (And I suspect not). last thing you need in a less-than-wealthy team is a brash youngster. The younger drivers are reckless and/or car breakers (See: Hamilton, Piquet Jr.) so it's better to have a nice wise helmet in the car for this year at least.

Great for Rubens to get a drive.

I'd think that if Senna was to go anywhere it would be the returning Formula 2. I don't think he would want another season in GP2 and with testing being at a bare minimum this season not really necessary to be full-time test driver. Hopefully he is as good as his uncle said he is.

Cant be bothered, Im fed up with trying to argue with people who only want to support established race winners and champions. Lewis is a champion-the youngest ever. He takes chances, he races to win, he is exciting and has amazing car control, but yes he sometimes gets it wrong so lets all call him reckless and not fit to lick the boots of 'real' champions  Piquet is not as good as lewis by a long way but he's not as bad as his results make him look. Certainly not a reckless car breaker.
If lewis is a reckless car breaker then the rest of the grid must be real crap!

Ok so I bothered. You do it on purpose DD!!!

Only want to support established championship winners?! I support Jenson freaking Button!

Lewis drives right on the edge, and that kind of always-on-it aggression and/or car-breaking-roughness is/are an epidemic amongst the youthful ones. That is all I meant. It's okay in the best or second best car at one of the richest most secure teams - it's not okay at Brackley F1.

How about you add Kimi Raikkonen to that list of car wreckers?

We have Monaco, (Canada :hehe: ) , Europe, Belgium and Singapore Grands Prix come to mind.

Hamilton only got a DNF from Canada. And won at Monaco, despite 2 punctures.

His next two worst performances were Bahrain and Japan. Japan he finished 12th, despite being turned around by Massa (who should also be added to this list), and then receiving a penalty.

And what about Magny-Cours? 2 Penalties and still finishes 10th?

And now Massa:

Australia, Malaysia, Great Britain, Hungary, and Singapore. Hmmm.....:whip:

Jeez, are you Lewis fans always so defensive? I was hardly going to list every young driver who's ever stuffed a car.

Or older experienced driver?? Coulthard  Kimi? Come on lets face it, they all do! If they never stuff it they're not trying. It just happens that after finding the limit Lewis usually does the business...better than most.

Lewis is irrelevant, we're talking about Rubens and Senna. It was just an example, get over it.
