car might of been designed more for lewis tho? unless hekki is just that bad

i sure hope its just sandbagging

I doubt either is the case, or McLaren would seriously have hindered themselves for the whole season.

It may just be a simple imbalance and the remedy would be to alter the surface in some way. I've already seen a couple of 2009-spec wing configurations on the MP4/24. I can't understand them if they're sandbagging. It's the same as the Renault situation. I'd rather have the other teams know I'm fast and be safe in the knowledge that there are no major issues with my car than spring a surprise but have problems throughout the season.

Very true, Piquet does not looking promising in the slightest. Braitore has already said Piquest has a lot to prove in 09. But he seems a long way off, he could even be gone mid-season and we could see Grosjean move up.

Renault didn't really want to retain him (They were after Jenson) and I guess we can see why now :S

I think McLarens having problems with airflow to the rear wing. The green slime came out again yesterday so I think the wind tunnel data isn't performing the same at the test track. They test the 08 wing modified to simulate the expected down force from their 09 car.

Will find out how they go today with Lewis.

no lewis is last also today using the 08 rear wing.

granted he did come back to the pits on fire!

there either sandbagging or the Mclaren is in trouble.

yep but we won't be 100% sure until 28th to be fair.

i'd like to see LH go out and put the fastest time in with the 09 rear wing tho.

as of 13:20

Truli 1.21:701

Alonso is lapping in the 1'26's and Hamilton is lapping in the 1'23's.

track is damp..

what site you getting this from?

Alonso's first lap 1.24:893.
Webber is back on tack, Hamilton is back on track (still with the 2008 wing), meanwhile Raikkonen has gone back to the pits.

- Planet F1 Fourms, trying to get a live timing site.

08 rear wing...great.
