wish we could get cars like that in the UK.

just wouldn't be practical with what we pay for fuel tho.

Vauxhall sell it in the UK  and i think Wilkinshaw even imports HSV's and sells them at his shops there.

Yeh the Monaro, or VXR its called from Vauxhall but you hardly see any of them infact i've never seen one.

Simple reason is it costs £0.80/Litre for Fuel and thats a Big 6.0L V8.

And the insurance on it would be daft.

not that much more expensive on fuel there as it is here, converted your 0.80 pounds is 1.77 AUD here its about 1.20 - 1.40 a litre for 91 RON fuel.

do you live in the ghetto or something? :hehe:

That is funny :hehe: but could we be looking at an age thing here? I mean when I
was a wee lad and had a ticket or two on my record my insurance was high.
How old are you Longbow as your age will say everything?

No disrespect intended towards Longbow:wink: yet age and driving record seem's to be
the factor. I dont like it either but that is just how it is.

I'm 23 i have no points on my licence and 4 year's no claims and i've done a pass plus which is a advanced driving course, it will go cheaper when i'm 25 tho

I did a quote on a Evo 10 a while back - £1800 V8 Monaro would be the same proberly more like 2000-2500

Good deal as 25 seem's to be the age where insurance starts to get more affordable :) . I personaly would take an Evo over a Monaro anyday as I'm very fond of a turbo 4-banger over a V8 but I bet it's a very hard decision to make. I have about 1yr left before I payoff my 4Runner and I have several vehicles I'm considering and they are a first gen Mazda Miata, C63 Mercedes, Evo8 or going back to a turbo MR2. I like way too many cars which is good and bad.

that does sound tough :D

Doesnt it??? I'd prefer it to be a Camaro, but hey gotta represent American muscle. :)

That SC sounds awesome
Getting my SS has opened my eyes alot to American Muscle... its annoying because i wasnt planning on modding my car but im tempted to get it tuned OTR CAI exhaust etc etc :hehe: $$$$$$

Yeah dude American muscle is the cheap way to go fast. Of course you'll get the Euro snobs who say American cars cant turn and crap, but hey, how often are you in a street race with turns??? Anyways I regret getting my lancer, I knew I should've bought my cousins SS camaro.

the thing is you coudn't really run a yank muscle car in england apart from motorway driving and even then we have the odd tight bend on the motorways.

We have lots of windy bendy a roads which are fantastic fun in a car that has good handling but if you took around a yank tank it would just be scary or boringly slow.

and there no good for track days either, you just got out accelerated, out braked, and out handled quick on the straights mind but thats all.

That said an american muscle car is the way to go for US roads since there so straight.

That's why you get a Roush.
