Its obvious that her joining F1 would be purely for publicity. I mean, has there ever been any doubt about that.
2008 Indy car, she finished first in a race that had no qualifying session. Her next best finish was 5th, which she did twice. She finished 6th, meaning clearly there where at least 5 drivers who drove better. Yet they don't get considered for F1. Its not in any doubt, a woman in F1 is for publicity.

Nothing against Danica. Its hardly her fault she gets all this attention. She does seem to be a decent driver, but just not cut out for F1.

Damn.. Ya'll are slamming Danica pretty bad. There are some people currently in formula one who clearly do not deserve a drive and its all about who they brought along as sponsors.

All of ya'll are acting way to holy.... come back down to earth and smell the f'n Starbucks coffee :wavey:

Who?

In every race during 2008, twenty-one drivers placed 2nd or worse and all of them were men.

i said its not about her being a woman its about her being an average driver if they said Marco Andretti would be comming over i would be saying the same thing.

Well, you have to admit that the signing of Nakajima and Buemi was somewhat sponsorship related. You could even claim Piquet was kept this year for that reason.
Bourdais even admitted quite a few times that money was playing a large part in getting him a seat for a second year.

As with a lot of things nowadays, people have got their wires crossed. Being sexist towards Patrick and not wanting her in Formula One on the grounds she is not up to standard are not synonyms.

Personally, I don't care about a driver's umpalumpa, age, personal life, religion, politics etc.; the only criteria for me is whether they're good enough - and Patrick clearly is not.

I just wonder would they have a cute number boy for her on the grid?

Danica Patrick is not F1 material.

Geeze Rivelution, why so?

Well:

1. Watch ANY indycar race on a road course, and a good day for her is just outside the top 10.

2. She cant setup her car, whenever you hear her on the team radio she is always complaining about the car.

3. She is a drama queen like you wouldnt believe.

4. Tony George will never let Danica go, I mean she's whats basically keeping the IRL on the map. (shows you how lousy a job Tony is doing)

This is purely a publicity stunt and if USF1 want to get off on the right foot, choosing DP wont help at all. And this has nothing to do with her umpalumpa, I used to root FOR Danica because of her umpalumpa, but when her head got to big and she started complaining and whining thats when I started hating her. If she cant keep up with the top 10 drivers in the SAME car, how will she do in F1 when every car is different and a driver has to help develop the car?

Peter Windsor, you're a smart guy dont make a decision you know you'll regret.
