You know you really have to admire his determination, but why does he want to go back to F1? To accomplish nothing again?

Isn't simply being in F1 accomplishing something?

It is, but he's close to 100 starts in F1 and accomplished what?

But you could say the same about most of the drivers on the grid. I think he at least deserves another year in a drivable car. (Actually, having said that, Davidson, Barrichello, De La Rosa all deserve a chance too)

Takuma as Red Bull's reserve driver wouldn't be a bad move if I'm honest. You could do alot worse. Sure he's not the greatest driver in the world but he'd do a half decent job. Hi again by the way, sorry I've been away for so long. :D

Mark Hughes wrote a very interesting article in Autosport this week which claimed that without Honda or Sato in F1, the future of the Japanese Grand Prix is at risk.

Aye it would be, but the Japanese appear to be quite fickle atm. Take the Red Bull/Sato Case. When they heard he could have got a seat the sales of Red Bull in Japan increased by 200%. Now it has plummeted again. Hughes Claims Japanese fans see F1 for Honda, Sato, Nakajima, Toyota (in that order)
Hey man, welcome to the Forum btw.

I think I recall seeing a post on a Williams forum a while ago that Nakajima wasn't overly popular in Japan. They apparently think he's too arrogant and only got there because of his name. A Japanese equivalent of Lewis Hamilton then? Albeit not as quick (but he is still pretty quick and I hope he improves this season).

Nakajima's stay in F1 could depend though on Williams' use of the Toyota engines because there's the rumour that Williams will be one of the teams using the Cosworth in 2010 and their deal with Toyota finishes this year. Sir Frank said that whilst one of the two main reasons for signing Nakajima was because of the Toyota deal, the other was for the pace he showed during his debut race at Interlagos in 2007.

So the big thinking point here is if Nakajima drives well this season and Williams make the jump to Cosworth in 2010, will Sir Frank stick to his guns or will he have his eye on somebody else? A lot of this will also depend on if Nico decides to stay with the team and how Nico2 gets on in GP2 this year.

I see..but I quite suspect if it (the Red Bull prices) really has anything to do with all this mess..It sounds kinda fanciful for me.
I think that it doesn`t really matter...I mean, if it was in that way, FIA must provide any driver from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Bahrein etc...but I also know that the Japanese have more infuence in F1, of course!
But they should priorize the best circuits, it wasn`t enough kick Montral out of the calendar ??
