Will STR unveil their car the same day as Red Bull's? Or will it be delayed like Force India's?

I read somewhere that the assumption is they would follow some time later (a week?) - I think it was a statement by Buemi.

Hopefully its soon and not at the last minute like Force India's will be.

And Force India will probably launch their new flat-packed Motorhome / Citadel before they launch the car.

You mean the Taj Mahal? :P

i like the upright leading edge on the nose cone, it looks like a good looking F1 car, but Newey designs always are pleasing to the eye.

Indeed, but tend to be pretty fragile...

Yeah, but you'd basically be in the same position McLaren were from 1998 to 2005. Although there were several reasons why the team's performances were substandard, a pretty fundamental one was that Adrian Newey had complete control over the design of the cars, so nobody could reel in his big ideas. When Newey designs a car, it is a work of art, rather than something designed to win both championships. I think Newey needs somebody alongside him to be truly successful. That's why he did such a good job at Williams, in my view. Patrick Head was there to remind him not to get too carried away, for the car needed to finish the race as well as just be the fastest over a single lap!

F1 live:
Toro Rosso will begin testing with its Ferrari-powered 2009 car, the STR4, in ‘early March’, Sebastien Bourdais has told the French daily L'Equipe.

The 29-year-old Frenchman, confirmed for the forthcoming season by the Faenza-based team only last Friday, explained that the car he will test at Jerez this week will still be the 2008 model.

"It is clear that this is not ideal," he said, referring to the proximity to the Melbourne season opener on March 29. "If the deadlines are met, the new car will be presented in early March.”

The basis of the STR4, Red Bull's RB5, will be unveiled and tested for the first time by the senior team at Jerez on Monday.

Bourdais' 2008 team-mate, Sebastien Vettel, is scheduled to drive, before Mark Webber returns from injury on day two.
