American Football is the F1 of ball games. Very technical and tactical with highly complex rules (like F1). The QB is the F1 driver, the rest of the team is his car that allows him to win (or not). The coaches (several for different parts of the team) on the sideline are the paddock that tweak every strategic move on track via intercom. The referees are quite professional and unbiased and are helped by play reviews using high-tech video. The only anachronism I feel are the sticks that they move up and down the field and use for measurements and down indicator - they remind me of the lollipop man

That may be true, however that doesnt get away from the fact that The Boss was better than this match. I'm starting to sound like Ewan the way I'm going on about him :rofl::rofl:

IT'S A GAME. NOT A MATCH!

F1 doesn't stop every 10 seconds though.

But ITV used to have almost as many commercials per race, didn't it? :P

Yes, but the race didn't just stop.
The Sport wasn't designed around having commercial breaks like the modern day NFL.
No wonder it'll always be a niche sport all outside North America :hehe:

Also you say unbias refs... ;) They don't exist in F1 either do they? :hehe:

That's the nature of the game: they have to line up again after each play. Just look at it as gear shifts in F1 or somtin" - breaks after each quarter are like pit stops.

That's why I brought them refs up - a contrast and a page from the NFL book that F1 should have a close look at. :P:twisted::whip::director:

I'll only ever agree with you if one day I see the Boss playing a pitstop in the middle of a GP. :hehe:

If you want to see physical running and passing of a egg shaped ball try Rugby, or even Aussie Rules.
None of that protective clothing... pussys!
