One in Montreal and one at Mosport (not up to par w/FIA standards but one awesome track) would be cool but the US need's one just as badly as Canada does. Heck they could do one in Canada then onto the US GP then onto Mexico for a dearly missed GP and then onto Brazil for the GP. Can you imagine the travel cost saving's for the team's having 4 of the GP's on two connected continents?

How about Road Atlanta !!! Too bad its not up to FIA standards either... along with most of the NA track

Love the track and forsure we need the owner's of our best track's to stepup, bite the bullet and invest the fund's needed into making their track an FIA approved facility. Now I do agree that the cost is way overboard yet possibly some sort of mutual agreement could be made, I find it very disheartening no other facility has stepped up to host the next US GP except Indy?

Just imagine if Watkins Glen made the necessary safety/pit upgrade's as the history there would make every race a sellout most likely a year in advance every year!!

That is an interesting idea. I've always wondered why F1 hasn't adopted this before.
Personally Id either end the season with a clump of races on Asia and end in Australia and begin the season in Brazil, working the way up North and South America then over to Europe.

Actually this is not new's only my opinion but Tony George said last year he would gradly welcome back the F1 circus. I hope Bernie and Tony can atleast make say a two year agreement since Indy is the only track in the US up to FIA standard's. That will give other track's such as Watkins Glen, Road America or Laguna Seca time to bring their track upto the FIA's standard's. This way that track's owner's could try to negotiate say atleast a 5yr commitment which would allow that track to not only recoup it's initial investment but to make a profit and not to mention they will conform to any and all wordwide form's of racing governed by the FIA, the door's would be wide open!

DTM or FIA GT racing at a track near you, now that sound's like a plan to me .

The Americans are not patriotic when it comes to car purchases (see the big three's bank bailout). So F1 is an opportunity for manufacturers to showcase thier stuff across the pond. Not a lot of americans are into F1 but the size of their market means that F1 just cannot ignore it.

i would say thet are pretty patriotic when it comes to cars actually. The bail out has little to do with favouritism.
Racing is something they are also patriotic about. They tend to follow their own form of racing over the snobby Euro trash that is F1

bud is right imo as we here have a huge racing fanbase but a much smaller fanbase of what I term as true racing fans who just like and respect racing of anykind. It is really no different than the UK based racing fans thinking NASCAR is boring and a waste of time right? This is why I include myself in the penultimate racing fan club because if it's got 2 or 4-wheel's I will and have watched it and I support it.

Lack of grand prix in the United States seriously hampers its chances to make an impact in this modern day.

I can't say Im a big Nascar fan, but it is a huge part of the motorsport world, so it cannot be ignored.
