Well it's official, F1 is the most expensive sport of all - £1.5bn for a season! That gives Max more ammunition for his cost saving exercise in 2008.

It seems to be difficult to attract big sponsors these too.

Bernie and Max seem to have had a little fall out over the cost of the V8 engines, I never really understood this being a cost saving measure as the development of these engines most have cost ££££'s while doing something with the existing V10, even restricting it, would surely have been more economical.

They will be talking about standardised wings and such next

There were ideas floated around about have certain standard parts which personally I didn't like.

However, there was an idea metioned that teams could sell last years car to another team - now that could be interesting and could possibly attract more teams if they can use second hand cars. That would save loads of money.

It would be easy to get a "downer" on it, at the mo i'm looking forward to the season starting and will take each season as it comes !
