Although McLaren has always been my favorite team I surely wouldn't be disappointed if they were not the "most popular" team in F1. Popularity has never been the mark of greatness. Michael Jackson was much more popular than The Clash but there can be no question that The Clash were the far superior product.
I feel the tifosi will object to this McLaren popularity but it will most assuredly not get them to switch allegiances from Ferrari.
