Cheer up Hannah! I hope you feel better soon. You may look back a long lime from now and say, Wow those were some pretty good years.... Make the best of what you have, which could be a lot more than most people have..

Well I'm ok this weather, my birthday is in 5 days, so im keeping on a high for a few more days at least.
Then the entire year is filled with no special events, so it'll suck.
But oh well.
Would I be right in saying your birthday is the 8th January? If so, mine is the same!
You think negative, your life will be negative. You think positive, your life will be positive. Simple as that.

What if you've tried to be positive, but it just hasn't worked?

Admitting to it not working is a sign of your own negativity. You have to be positive and stay positive, because if you just half arse it and say you're positive but deep down inside you're not, then you're not giving it an honest effort to be positive. The only way to beat depression is to be positive, because if you rely on pills, doctors, etc. then you're just putting a band-aid on the wound instead of healing it.

Well as a person who suffered from depression, I'm just talking from my own experience.
