Yes, Honda agreed to help out whoever buys the team, and I suspect that includes a honda powerplant. Honda actually had more than enough money to continue in F1, so I'm sure it'll be okay for them to remain as engine suppliers.

As for 2010. Well, if the optional standard engine from cosworth is a go. I can only imagine Mr Carlos Slim will take up the offer

MEXICO CITY (AFP) — Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim has not bought the Honda Formula One team and is not even in negotiations for the Japanese outfit, a source at the businessman's industrial and financial empire said on Sunday.

"There is no deal for the Honda team. There is neither agreement nor negotiations," the source told AFP on condition of anonymity

Well, that's a disappointing letdown!

Is Honda going to provide the engine for the entire season? At what cost? Under what batch? And then in 2010?
Just curious...

no they are not going to supply engines, their involvement ends in March. Who ever buys the team will have to get a supply of Engines(most likely Ferrari) until Cosworth are ready to supply the spec engine.

Maybe they could use the Cosworth that Williams used back in 2006 for the time being. Albeit limited to 19K revs. There should still be some lying around in Cosworth's factory.
