I wouldn't be surprised if the withdrawal of Prodrive Subaru from WRC was in order for Dave Richards to launch his Honda rescue bid.

Bit of a risk if he didn't get it tho maybe after he secured honda yeh but i don't think he'd drop it before.

Unless he's actualy got it and then he droped subaru and we just don't know it yet

Fingers crossed, but would Prodrive be able to finance it in the long term?

I think the funding from the Middle-East will be crucial and is probably the only way DR would get involved.

Will prodrive do the right thing and bring the Aston Martin marque into Formula 1?

I'd rather see them as Prodrive as opposed to bearing a manufacturer name.

Id rather see the name Prodrive in Formula one,

The climate of F1 has swinged round to the privateers again :)

but Prodrive is Aston Martin. TBH I do not care what it is called, I think DR belongs in F1. Honda fell apart when Fry took over.

It would be like the Stewart/Jag situation in reverse. ie Privateer does a good job and then it all falls apart when a multinational company gets involved. but this time we will see the honda team turn into a phionex (spl)

Aston Martin has so much heritage when it comes to Motor racing in General, and such a name could be vital if DR was trying to obtain sponsors or the market image of the team.

Im watchin the 1989 Review tonight, 20 teams fighting for 26 places,
Formula One: A shadow of its former self :(

It would be brilliant if David Richards bought Honda then they would be back to where they were in 2004 they were steadily improving then and got a whole load of podiums and probobly would have won a race in 2005 if he was still there.
