FOTA Chairman Luca di Montezemolo:
"There is still much left to do, also because when we have a look at the economic side of the companies and not only the ones of the F1 teams, we have to consider the costs but also the earnings. In this sense yesterday we managed to agree with the FIA on the necessity to organize a meeting with FOM to discuss the earnings of the Formula One teams.”

BE the miser won't like this a bit :hehe:

If you where BE, would you make concessions and give more of your take to the teams for the good of F1? Or would you continue to take da money and pump it into CVC, which frankly I have no idea what they do that attributes to F1.

In my view, the economic situation has always been irrelevant. The money that Ecclestone gets from Formula One is immoral and unjustified, and largely down to Ferrari, he's been allowed to get his hands on it. I hope the teams take him to the cleaners.

Perhaps Bernie will then have to get a job as a cleaner? :hehe:

With the teams getting more money and his wife taking him half his fortune it is going to be a very poor Christmas for Bernie

Considering we're talking about BE, I'm sure that 'poor' is a VERY relative term.

The trouble is Bernie has had it his own way for far far far to long now- half of the decisons he makes have no real positive outcome to Formula one as a sport but lines his own pockets with lots of cash.
Prehaps its time for FOCA to take control of the commercial side of the sport and appoint an Independent F1 CEO on a fixed salary that isnt such a pompus asshole
