I dont think Kovi is up to it personally, Hes a quickfix #2 driver

I agree but I think he'll be a lot closer than he appeared to be this year.

He is capable of doing it but Lewis is the number one driver there no matter what Ron Dennis says to the press

Another Coulthard-Hakkinen esque situation...

When I read the thread title my first thought was DC saying so many times, "This is my year".

Agree with 8-Ball, Kovi will be allowed to go as fast as possible, without upsetting Hamilton...

Here we go again.

Hamilton will not react as Alonso did to a challenge from within the team, he will just be more determined to be faster. Which will be good for the team all round. Kovi should go better next year , the stickier tyres will suit him better so they should be closer.

It isn't about how grippy/sticky the tyres are - it's about him being able to drive in his style without them being torn to shreds by the second lap. I think that the things that will really benefit Heikki are the fact that he will be in the picture right from the start of the MP4-24's development (instead of Alonso) and that McLaren's self-imposed 'ban' on developing their braking system (along with other parts) will be over. :)

would Hamilton help Kovi to a WDC like Kimi did to massa?

i imagine he would if there was no chance of Him (Hamilton) winning

Kovi did very litle to help Hamilton compared to what Kimi did for Massa tho

Kovi was hardly in the postion to help .. which if you think of it made him pretty useless in his role :D

i was about to say the same thing. kovi is a good driver but he never put the drive in when hami/mclaren needed it.
