Who's response do I reply to? I know I'll just do this and reply to all the last few as they seem to all be about the same thing. I hate McLaren more than I love Ferrari and I hate Lewis but don't mind Heikki to win etc, etc. Now don't blame me for going off topic because I was on track until the usual McLaren diehard supporters diverted this off again.
Ok I love Ferrari. That is fact, in fact it is very factual. I hate McLaren, that isn't actual fact. It is assumption as is the same comment about Lewis. Anna (Racechick) points out that Lewis Hamilton is the bigger threat to Ferrari, however that isn't why I like Heikki better. Reality is I wouldn't really want either McLaren driver to win as no Ferrari supporter would but if it came down to one of them 2 winning I would prefer Heikki to win as his personality is 1,000,000 better than that of Lewis Hamilton. Heikki to me is a gentleman. Lewis Hamilton simply is not.
Going back to the I hate McLaren theory first theorised by Chris (McLaren Fan) and then accepted as a popular theory by the other McLarenites around this forum. Not really true. I would be happy for McLaren to be renamed as Mercedes or anyone else for that matter simply because it would mean all records regarding any wins etc would start again. McLaren's records would end but Ferrari's would increase as they continue to win their own races etc. What am I trying to say? Simply that McLaren is the only team that can threaten Ferrari as the greatest team of all time. In 1993 McLaren surpased Ferrari with most race wins. McLaren got 104 wins to Ferraris 103. Also when Mika Hakkinen won his 2 WDC, McLaren surpassed Ferrari in number of WDC. This would open an argument that at one point McLaren could claim to be the greatest F1 team of all time. Ferrari has won all these records back. In terms of race wins, Ferrari are pretty much safe for now, but in WDC, Ferrari only has 3 more than McLaren. McLaren is clearly the only threat to Ferrari. If a takeover occured, then stats would start again for say Mercedes (Assuming they were the taking over team) and McLaren's would end meaning Ferrari would be safe for a long time. This is the only reason why I would be happy to see McLaren go or really not go but get taken over by another company like Mercedes. No gard feelings and no real hate intended. I just want Ferrari to remain the greatest team in F1 forever and never have to deal with a threat from any other team.
I know of you including Ferrari fans are going to say I am pathetic in my reasoning, but this is why I don't like McLaren. Nothing personal but they are the only threat Ferrari really has and thinking like a warrior, you cant simply be in love or appreciate the very enemy that threatens your status as the greatest.
