Don't like the idea of cutting the revs loads tho, the sound is fantastic at the min and that will be lost

I'd agree with that. But will turbos really deliver the 900bhp figures banded about?

With the technology available they could easily get 2000bhp, especially if they were managing over that amount 20 years ago!

I'm yet to come to a view on these regulations...Some of them seem logical, others strange and out of place in F1

Yeah I'd agree with that. Lets hope some serious work goes in to perfecting these regulations. We all know F1 needs to progress and move green technology forward, but it also needs to be just as exciting to watch, if not more exciting!

And especially most of the Turbo era cars looked like un-aerodynamic fat bricks.

"Four-wheel drive, traction-control and stability-control systems" - I thought they wanted to remove driver aids?

Just turbo them off their brains, 40,000 bhp with an exhaust the size of a cruiseliner, when they take off they will be like those funnycar dragsters, half the skill in accellerating will be keeping it in a straight line when your rears are doing 400,000rpm...

MM sent his proposals to Ford and VW in order to entice them to enter F1. Well, that's okay with me, but the proposed limitation of wind tunnel usage worries me a bit: this could tempt Ford to send in its Volvo franchise. Can you imagine those boxy Volvo F1 cars duking it out against Spyker and co.? At least the entry of Ford and VW might give Toyota and Honda a fighting chance to get their asses off the rear end of the grid

VW will send in curvy cars based on 40 year old designs no doubt.

Electric cars would be the way to go. Some guy in California built an electric car in his garage that could outperform any road production car except the Bugatti Veyron. All for a mere $100,000. Imagine what kind of performance an F1 team could acquire.
