What a pathetic Pesem! Britanija je kao proljev! and so is the idiot that wrote the song. I understand that Lewis Hamilton won the world championship, and so be it and glorify him if it makes the fans happy. But the "Britain" part and "for Britian" is all off putting. Oh and should I mention a real Hrvat shoudn't support a Britanac or a Britanski team, just like in nogomet.......... You know exactly what I am referring to......................

Ferrari used to say the constructors' title was the runner's-up prize...

it still is

A championship win is a championship win. Both titles are important. To win both in a single year is the ultimate. This year wasn't the case so it shows just how close both Ferrari and McLaren were. I guess it is fair to say that Ferrari won something (the constructors championship) and McLaren won something else, the drivers championship. In all fairness, had it not rained Lewis Hamilton would of finished 4th as no one would of pitted and thus the Toyotas would of remained were they were. Had the Toyotas pitted like all the other front runners, then Lewis Hamilton would of still finished 4th or actually 5th as Vettel passed him. But Lewis Hamilton's 5th place would of been of ease had the Toyotas pitted. Also had Lewis Hamilton required to finish higher in the standings to win the title, I believe he would of at least been capable of 2nd or 3rd place in that race. He wouldn't of beaten Felipe Massa but had he required to finish at least 2nd I would say he would of went harder and gotten it. So basically Lewis Hamilton was taking it easy anyway in the Brazilian GP so his overall championship victory was no fluke. So congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for winning the 2008 drivers title and congratulations to Ferrari for winning the constructors title.

By the way the last few times I remember where a different team won the drivers title to the constructors title was 1999. Mika Hakkinnen won the WDC for McLaren and Ferrari won the WCC. 1994 where Michael Schumacher won the WDC for Benetton-Ford and Williams-Renault won the WCC. 1986, Alain Prost wins WDC for McLaren-TAG Porsche (Btw I like that McLaren because it was powered by Porsche) and WCC won by Williams-Honda. 1982 and 1983 Ferrari won the WCC and the drivers (Oh! I can't remember off hand) I think Nelson Piquet won one of them. Can't remember the other driver. Also the cars were I think that won, a Brabham-BMW and the other a Brabham-Ford? I cant remember. I could look it up but right now can't be bothered. Anyone is welcomed to just correct me I guess.

The idiot who wrote it should re-write it and simply say Lewis Hamilton World Champion. Get rid of the British part and also re-write and say he won it for McLaren and not Britain. Whoever wrote the song is a moron. That puts followers off. If I went for McLaren I would of supportered Lewis Hamilton because he drove for McLaren and not because of his nationality. If someone wrote a song about Ferrari and sang that Ferrari wins for Italy, that would put people off no doubt. Infact I had to not long ago tell a group of Italian guys to shut their traps about how great Italian Ferrari is and just to drop the Italian part because if they did it in front of a few of my other friends who happened to be British and support Ferrari, that they (The Italians) would put them right off. And if that happened I would of been put right off and at the expense of the Italians themselves!

To be honest, there's always been a bit of nationalism in Formula One. When the sport began, cars raced in their national colours, so I don't see anything wrong with people liking teams and drivers because they are from the same country as themselves. I do, though, partly agree with you, for Hamilton won the title not just for himself and his country, but for McLaren as well.

I'll be honest, I go for Ferrari because they are Italian, however I never push the fact or state that Ferrari are great because they are Italian or won the title for Italy when they win etc. I realise that it put people off and the reality is, the majority of Ferrari tifosi are not Italian. Italy is only one small country among many. There are many supporters of Ferrari in Britain alone and I know some. The last thing they want to hear is some Italian idiot just go on about how great Ferrari are because they are Italian. To be perfectly honest I don't like hearing that rubbish either purely because of my Slovenian hertiage. Going back to Lewis Hamilton, he has many supporters outside Britain. So do McLaren. Infact there are McLaren supporters therefore Lewis Hamilton supporters in Italy. Go to www.tuttomclaren.it and you see. (Fantastic site by the way, the bestever McLaren site I have seen). Now seriously do you think those Italian McLaren/Lewis Hamilton supporters want to hear crap like, Hamilton British World Champion and that he won it for Britain etc? I don't think so.
