I think he was in the ITV farewell video as well.

I was gonna mention that. The second i saw him I was like "Look, its... him"
They always manage to get a shot in somewhere of him. The guys a pure legend. Also, forget what his real name is, he's just "the beard"

So it would seem. There are a lot of fans like that, too. It's a shame that Formula One has so many people like that. I met some Ferrari fans on the bus today, they were rather unpleasant about Sunday's race and Hamilton/McLaren in general.

Many of the tifosi are just plain scum. Attending Grand Prix in McLaren attire (or the team that happens to be challenging Ferrari that particular season) and you will get a barrage of verbal abuse from Ferrari fans.

This does seem to be the case. But at the moment, both sides are acting unsporting, which is a shame. Comments like this:

Even though the commentary is not in English, its bloody worth watching again and again to see the elation in the Ferrari garage disappear faster than a politicians promise when the reality hits them that Hammy overtook Glock and finished 5th

And the even less sporting one posted in the other thread that really bring down my opinion of people. I have no idea why people can't accept that they won/lost with grace. It's pathetic that people are calling for Glock's head, hurling racist abuse at Hamilton and laughing at Massa's heartbreak.

Bring back the old Jordan fans, I say! :hehe:

Well, to be honest, I did enjoy that moment slightly after all McLaren have been through over the years, but it's not something I'd dwell on or feel the need to see again, particularly because I feel sorry for Massa's family, though. That must have been a really awful moment for them.

Mind you, the very nature of forums and the internet in general doesn't lead to cooler heads prevailing that often. When I was a nipper, I can only imagine the invective that would have been spewed on forums had they existed during the Prost vs. Senna, Prost vs. Mansell or Prost vs. everyone years.

Only now, fans, whether they are casual or deeply passionate, have a wealth of up to the minute info on the smallest details of their favourite team/driver available to them almost instantly and also a platform to immediately react to races and decisions.

Nevermind the programs and TV material now concentrated on F1 compared to even 10 yrs ago.

No couple of days to mull things over before you have a chat about it with your friends over a beer.
