I remember looking at my Monaco Grand Prix book, and a car that really struck me was the Brabham BT48.

I just think this is one good looking car. imo

Gottq love the huge rears/tiny fronts setup. Made those cars look pretty mean!

The Rothman's livery looked great and that particular car looked very elegant, despite it being a dog to drive, but that car and its livery is tainted. When I see the FW16, -17, -18 and -19, all I think of is what happened on 1st May 1994. :(

Is that an old Scuderia Italia? What a team they were. :hehe:

If you want to know why Lotus are the greatest Formula One team ever, then look below:

The Lotus 25, the first car to use a full stressed monocoque.

The Lotus 49, which was the first car to use aerofoils.

The Lotus 79 - the first car to take advantage of ground effect.

The double-chassied Lotus 88. This was legal and it was disgusting the FIA banned it!

Below is the Lotus 99T, the first ever car to use active-ride suspension.

Prompting the classic quote from Chapman:

Journo "So is there any way Fisa could let you run it?"
CABC: "Yeah, we could paint it red..."

The more things change, eh?

Chapman was bang on the mark. Ferrari sided with FISA in the FISA-FOCA War.

What the hell. I've never seen that before, was it fast?

It never got chance to race, just 1 practice session and Balestre banned it.

If Chapman was still alive and he did that today Mad Max would have Lotus banned from F1 just for building the car and stating their intentions to race it.
