Seems like we'll have a few changes to look forward to and/or regret next year. As it stands, the things I'm waiting for are:

1) BBC coverage, no ad-breaks, and potential for HD.
2) Slick tyres - cars looking like they should again.
3) Less aero flip-ups - might make the cars look a weird and a little like the cars of the 90s, but overtaking should be better.
4) The MP-24 - it's a personal thing, but I've always thought the McLarens have the best looking cars.
5) More power in the Renault engine - I'd like Alonso to stay where he is and make things more interesting next year.
6) Challenges from Kubica and Vettel - both have a great future, and they're both front row drives in my book.
7) Bruno Senna - how good will he be, and will he handle the pressure of expectation?

I'll wait and see what this KERS brings to the show. Can't help thinking it's going were going to see an F1 Prius. Only another four and a half months to go, and I just booked my hotel in Melbourne :D

145 days to go before the Australian Grand Prix. What will we do? The Formula One winter break is painfully long. There's a lot to look forward to next season, but I don't think the new regulations are suddenly going to make things better all of a sudden. They will take time to bed in. Some will make the wrong calls and some will make the right calls on which design philosophies they choose. I think there's a real chance of some teams to do a bit of a coup on the new regulations. Back in 1998, Newey came up with the wonderful idea of sacrificing some aerodynamic grip to reclaim some of the mechanical grip that was lost because of the new regulations. The reverse of this could happen next season, as one designer decides to try and salvage some aerodynamic grip.

Next year should be even better with all the new rules and we could see a few more teams fighting at the top Vettel will help Red Bull get up there because look what he did with Torro Rosso.

I think it will be a little shocking at first how different the cars will be.

I still dont understand the KERS system. I know how it works mechanically, I just dont understand how it will work as applied to racing. Will they literally have a boost button to use when passing?

All in all, I just can't wait.

The torro rosso was a better car than this years Red Bull which was a surprise considering that Adrian Newey designed it. Next year is new regs so it is a pretty much even playing field in coming up with a car to win races.

Watch out for the FW31, Williams have already tested out parts for it and their KERS device is coming on nicely. With less aerodynamic crap on the cars for Patrick Head and Sam Michael to get lost in and Williams in general having one of, if not the best mechanical grip on their cars.
