To be fair to Hamilton, he was probably pretty annoyed and didn't mean what he said. He'd just be stripped of a well-earned victory, McLaren had just been robbed of an historic victory (40th anniversary since the first win of the team in Belgium, so winning the race would have been a great tribute to Bruce McLaren), his chief rival for the title had points gifted to him and Raikkonen was trying to claim it was Hamilton who was in the wrong.

They had not. This was only in the press conference. The stewards' decision didn't come for another two hours. :)

I've never understood anybody that complains about a driver being 'arrogant', or being reserved, too nice, whinging, a big mouth, etc. etc.

I don't watch F1 or other motor sports for a soap opera, I watch it to appreciate skillful and exciting driving whoever it's from.

Senna was a great driver, so were Schumacher, Prost, Alesi, Damon Hill (I don't care if people disagree with that one), Hakkinen, Keke Rosberg, Lauda and many others.

Lots of different personalities; couldn't care less and don't understand anybody that does!

I care because I don't see them as any different to ourselves. That is, people. I don't care that they're at the top of the tree, in the pinnacle of motorsport. There is nothing about them that makes them better than people whose jobs are thought of as rubbish: binmen, sewage workers, that 'nerdy' kid from school that works in McDonalds now. I expect them to act in a decent way, be respectful to others and generally not think themselves better than other people when, in actual fact, they aren't. Likewise, I expect that of Formula 1 drivers. And marathon runners. And, indeed, everyone else who might appear on my television :)

Which press conference?

I think it was after the televised part, where they take questions from the floor. But it was before it had been announced that he'd lost his win, though possibly after he had been told the stewards were looking in to it.

Edit: Alas, I am incorrect. It was after the press conference, one of the Q&A sessions.

Yeah they have a reponsibilty to act decently. They are also role models to younger people.
Fottballers are just awful role models diving around and whinging.
