A lot of British drivers seem to be a bit like Button. Generally, they are reasonable to very good good drivers, but are always complaining about something and then switch off. Watson was a bit of a fuss pot, Coulthard is always complaining and has an axe to grind with somebody all of the time, and Button is no different. Yap, yap, yap.

The only British driver to come along in recent years and have everything (that is, talent, speed, knowledge and a really great personality) is Anthony Davidson, and yet the teams with a free seat aren't even looking at him as far as we can tell! :(

And you can blame Nick Fry for screwing his career on that one, after Frank failed to grab Button, he tried to sign Davidson for Williams but guess who got in the way again.

That's a shame. I really hope Berger reads this page and gives him a try. Hell, I'd even see him in a Force India. I just want him to have the seat that he's earned.

Unfortunately.

Davidson should really be offered the STR drive, or else one at Renault if Piquet doesn't keep his.

Or replace Button! :hehe:

I don't disagree.

When I said 'unfortunately' it was the fact that you said he would likely be the only Brit to drive a Force India.

It's easy to write him off after this season, but the ability is geniunely there, just look at what he managed with a semi-decent car in '04, '06 etc... I think Honda would be immensely stupid to sack off Barichello OR Button, they're two great drivers with bags of speed and experience, and with Ross Brawn on the pit wall and Wurz as test driver, surely the formula will come good in the next season or two, that is if they don't start gambling on inexperienced drivers like Senna.
