If Felipe does not win the WDC title this year I predict he will win one over the next two season's.

I don't think so.

If he doesn't win this year, I don't think he ever wins one.

That depends on what you look at. Honestly, I never really thought that he could ever do better than he did in 2006, but look at how far he's come since the season that made his reputation what it is, and you have to ask yourself whether that's really the case. What's to say he can't improve more?

You can't predict anything, that for sure.

But I just don't think he will do better than this season in the future.

Exactly! Who would have thought that he would be where he is now? Alot of people say that Lewis would not be where he is at this moment without being in one of the two best car's, can't the same be said for Felipe?

It's possible, though Lewis has demonstrated some greater natural talent during a race than Felipe. That said, in equal equipment with equal fuel loads, I'd always put my money on Felipe coming out on top over a single lap.

I feel sorry for Felipe as well he's had loads of bad luck and if he dosen't manage to win it this year then he might not get another chance so this is his only chance really.

Why wouldn't he get another chance?

Felipe did lose 20 points through no fault of his own but he did gain 10 points he did not earn in Spa and escaped an on track penalty for an unsafe release. I reckon that the injustices between each team have been evened out

That ontrack penalty would have been a drive through at worst. In Spa he only gained 4 points, not 10. He came in 3rd place before they demoted Lewis.

Well at l.east it will be easy for you to watch and actually enjoy the last race of the season. No such luxury for me!!!

hi .howcome you wont see it ?????

Oh I'll see it. It just wont be easy to watch cos unlike the previous guy i very much want one party to win. So it will be edge of the seat heart racing stuff...not relaxed.

Explain yourself.

Simple. Desperately want lewis to win, think he's the best but lots of drivers and the FIA gunning for him. He may make an error and he may have a mechanical problem. So lots of reasons to be wetting myself whilst watching last GP :)
Whereas the guy who doesnt care if its Massa or Lewis who wins is in a win win situation! :)

I don't think Felipe will get another chance because Kimi is going to be much more on form next year and the BMW's will proboboly be much faser because they've spent so long developing it therefore taking away Robert Kubica's chance to win the championship and Renault have been improving a lot since Alonso came back and will be near the top again next year.

If the trend continues next season, you've got to fancy Raikkonen will be the better of the two Ferrari drivers. If you take out some lapses of concentration and bad fortune, Raikkonen has been the fastest Ferrari driver for a while now.

I'm not going to say you're wrong, because unless they are in the same equipment etc. there is no way of telling, but based on what we know about both drivers, I'd say that's a brave comment to make.

I'm a brave man :)

Lewis is more consistent i mean look at the start of the season Felipe puts it in the gravel twice.

then look at Monaco, Silverstone or Monza abit of rain and you immediately see the difference

I really wanted Lewis to win last year. That would have been record smashing if he took the championship as a new driver in Formula 1. The thing is last year Fernando made it easy for me not to like him and Kimi is a nobody so I really wanted Lewis to win.

This year is a bit different because obviously you have the lovely Felipe to think of and ofcourse it is not the first year for Lewis anymore. I would like him to win to silence the stupid critics though.

I feel sorry for Lewis Hamilton and his local friendly steward-um. the world title should have been over with his win in China!

What if Felipe hadn't had those 20 points lost for him? :crying:

the answer to this one i simple of coz........the prancing donkey's would have once again proved they the fastest and best team amongst all the other donkeys there. unfortunately the reality is that he lost it. so be it - all thats left imo is ( for me ofcos) to shutup and wait for next sunday to fly past. Its gonna be a long long week..... If Massa dont make it - well guess he can simply try again.....

Felipe is extremely underrated, and only a few people notice the pure speed that he does have. This mainly because when he has the speed to win, he always makes it count, gets on pole and gets the job done easily. Meaning, if he starts 3rd, thats usually the cars relative pace, meaning he doesn't move through the field.

But anyways, everyone bet that it would be Kimi leading the way this year. I bet against that, and I was completely right, and I'd bet that Massa can do the same next year, since there's no reason at all why he can't. He's out-driven Kimi fair and square in a car that was designed to suit Kimi, if anything, I'd expect Massa to gets stronger next year.
But next brings new rules and regulations, and new cars. Meaning Ferrari McLaren or BMW could easily slip down the order, or some drivers may adapt to the new cars better than others. Who knows, next year is a mystery.
