So in your mind Alonso sabotaged his own team, and his own chance to win the championship, just because he's some sort of crusader for fair play????
I guess that would explain his comments of how he will do everything in his power to help Ferrari win the title this year. Wake up and face reality.

PS. I'm not a Mclaren Fan so don't assume...

where have I said Alonso sabotaged his team? McLaren sabotaged themselves. Alonso was an outcast and a scapegoat. And naturally, got bad press from the english Media

Alonso made himself an outcast when he
couldnt accept equal status,
couldnt accept a team mate as fast as himself
blackmailed his team

Alonso seems to have a bit of paranoia about the support he's getting when he gets beaten bya teammate. He said Fisi was getting preferential treatment at Renault in '05 when he won his first WDC. He's a great driver, but an utter arse.

thats true Mclaren were not a team last year. Alonso basically had to go it alone last year and McLaren focused on LH who was there prefered WDC candidate. And theres no denying that. So I would say Alonso got the better result last year considering this. If all this Shizzle at McLaren didnt happen last year, Alonso & McLaren would of been world champions 2008 without a doubt.

but the McLaren lambs dont like to belive this so shhh! :hehe:

Aye. McLaren were so dead set against Alonso winning the title that he was allowed to win in Monaco, Spain and Italy and was not given the boot after he tried to blackmail his own team. Mercedes wanted Alonso fired with immediate effect, but it was the McLaren who ensured he was allowed to finish the season!

where have I said Alonso sabotaged his team? McLaren sabotaged themselves. Alonso was an outcast and a scapegoat. And naturally, got bad press from the english Media

Stop wanking over Alonso just because he drove for Renault and has come groveling back to you this season because he was desperate for a job after botching up his McLaren career. Renault and their fans, who were equally desperate, then welcomed him back with open arms, giving him whatever contractual terms he wanted. Alonso must be pissing himself with laughter. I know I am.

They weren't a team because Alonso couldn't cope with the fact that his rookie team mate was faster than him.
I was an Alonso fan until he became a whiner. Every fast driver in racing believes that they are the fastest driver there is, regardless of wether it's in a Kart or in F1. You don't make it to F1 by not believing that you are the absolute fastest man there is. Case in point when was the last interview you heard in any form of racing, with the guy in 2nd place, that had admitted he just didn't have the ability to be faster on that day. It's always the car, the team, the strategy, or the tires that keeps them from being the fastest. In Alonso's case he would have not started anything against Mclaren if they bowed to his wishes and held Hamilton back. Alonso didn't turn over evidence to FIA until after he threatened Ron Dennis to do so. When Ron Dennis told him he was not going to favor him over Hamilton, that's when Alonso went to FIA and Mclaren lost interest in him. He brought it upon himself, because his fragile little ego couldn't deal with being slower than a rookie.

So are you saying that if McLaren bowed in to Alonso's wishes that they never would of go caught cheating? :D

You only supported him over Schumacher that previous year because it was better for you that a Renault driver won and not a Ferrari driver. Just in the same way I was going also for Alonso the year before that simply so a McLaren driver (Then Kimi Raikkonen) wouldn't win. You Anna are just in the same menatality block as me. You won't care who wins when McLaren isn't in contention as long as it isn't Ferrari. But now don't go deny it all in a hurry because it is ok to think like that. I have openly said it many times as well regarding the 2005 season. It is normal and you Anna are normal.

That is the threat that Alonso was making.

Mclaren cheated as much as the disgruntled Ferrari Employee (Ross Brawn)was cheating when he emailed the car specs to Mclaren. It is constantly made to sound like Mclaren was caught with a couple of spies in Italy with their hands in Ferrari's filing cabinet, the truth of the matter is that Ross Brawn sent those emails out. I'm not advocating what they did as being rite, but this probably happens in F1 more than the general public will ever hear about. The fact does still remain that Mclaren's 2007 and 2008 cars were, according to Max (the umpalumpa slave) Mosley "gone through with a fine toothed comb and found to be free of any Ferrari technology."

Well, it was Nigel Stepney rather than Ross Brawn, but point taken. The information was given to McLaren and one employee, Coughlan, accepted it. The data wasn't use on the MP4-22 and was probably not used on the MP4-23. McLaren were certainly conducting their own tests in at least one of the three areas the FIA specified in the second hearing, but McLaren agreed to cease work on it this season so as there were no doubts. Most of the information in the document was useless to McLaren, for a) they had the fastest car, so had no need to use information from an inferior car, and b) a lot of it they could have found out for themselves under "legitimate" means of spying. For instance, you don't need a 780-page dossier to work out a car's weight distribution (which changes from session to session and race to race anyway). Whenever the car is on a crane, the technical boffins can work it out judging by the way the car slants on the crane. Yes, Coughlan was very much in the wrong to have accepted the dossier, but the whole matter was blown completely out of proportion for political reasons.

You're starting to lose your subtlety at making McLaren appear to be the best but not just saying "McLaren are better". That phrase of McLaren having the superior in 2007 and also in 2008 if you want to add that in is a total nonsense. Ferrari have had the best car last season and this season and you know it. Weather they really cheated or not is irrelevant to the fact that Ferrari's cars were better and in general are still better to this day. McLaren is just lucky they have someone that can drive their cars and push the car to the max.

Um, really? I think it's pretty clear last year the McLaren had the better car, and if McLaren hadn't been stripped of their points they would have won the constructors' title by a country mile with a comparable driver line-up to Ferrari. It actually makes Kimi's title even sweeter. This year? Very very close. I do think on balance the Ferrari has the edge on speed but, so far, the McLaren has been almost perfect on reliability. It basically comes down to whether you think McLaren's position in the Constructors' standings is down to being consistently outpaced by Ferrari overall, or having Kovalainen not really doing the business. The other thing is that if the Ferrari is slightly better in the dry, it's terrible in the wet - probably slower than the Torro Rossos.

I guess you are another McLaren supporter than cannot accept reality. Ferrari's car is and was better overall in 2007 and 2008. No way McLaren was quicker no way. Even this year Ferrari are the only ones to have gotten a 1 and 2 finish and they have done so 3 times this year and it could of been more times. And when Ferrari did that they whipped the opposition. Yes McLaren were quicker in some races like Germany and China but that is about it. Ferrari could of easily have gotten a 1 and 2 in Singapore and in Malaysia as well to name a few. And even at Silverstone had it not rained that badly. You McLarenites need to get over yourselves. Even if Lewis Hamilton wins the drivers title and as you all claim "Deservingly", Ferrari no doubt deserves the constructors title as they were the best team. Simple. That is all.:thumbup::D
