Montoya had it right about the stewards! Another gem of Juans

I would say Schumacher did exactly what Lewis did in Japan, of course with the exception that he did actually make contact. Yet no penalty. I'm sure you could probably spend weeks coming up with incidents, were Ferrari drivers were in the wrong and received no penalties, Unfortunately I think it's just another factor in F1 that all the teams , that aren't Ferrari have to contend with.

That would be a great thread! "Ferrari ones that got away":rofl::rofl:

You McLarenites almost have me convinced that the FIA = Ferrari. I think it is total bull. Here is why. Why didn't they penalise Lewis Hamilton in China? Any 25 second penalty at the end of the race would of put him at least 4th as Massa, Kimi and Alonso all finished under 25 seconds below Lewis Hamilton. It would of then given Massa the lead in the title. The FIA is like God in F1 since they run the rules etc. If they wanted to cheat, they could of easily thought of something after the race. Anything to penalise him. Even disqualify him from the race altogether. But they didn't, meaning there is no consipracy at all. Now if they supposingly have to make Lewis Hamilton finish less than 5th in Brazil to make Massa win there, the problem is what if Massa doesn't win? Then what, Lewis Hamilton will still win despite the FIA's best efforts. Again I don't think there is any shifty business going on, as if it were the case, the FIA would of sorted Lewis Hamilton out a long time ago. And also in 1997, Michael Schumacher tried to take out Villeneuve in that last race. Apart from the fact that his attempt was unsuccessful, Schumacher was punished and stripped of all his points was he not? Now if the FIA favours Ferrari, why didn't they just let Schumacher go or better still, disqualify Villeneuve and make Michael Schumacher the 1997 World Champion?

Because quite simply there was nothing that they could have penalised him for, he drove a faultless race out in front, not even the FIA would have been that stupid

If they wanted they could of said things like McLaren using cold fuel and thus disqualified him. Believe me there are many things the FIA could of created if they wanted to and if it were really true that they favour Ferrari. Remember the FIA is like God in F1, they can do anything if they really wanted to and nobody could stop them, not even Ferrari.

I'd like to see them try that becuase i don't think they would be that bold

The data would not match from the scrutineering! each team has a representative while their car is being checked over! so even if there were dodgy scrutineers it would be too hard to falsify readings that go against a team.
Saying that its very possible for dodgy scrutineers to look over irregularities :hehe:

AKR youre missing the point, if not for the FIA stewards Lewis would already be World champion right now!!! :censored:

Listen Brad, I was only saying half that stuff to that Maily guy as he is beyond the definiton of "rude". Whatever he through at me I through back weather I meant it or not. Unfortunality with F1 like all sports, everyone cheats. McLaren does it and so does Ferrari. It is simple. You will defend the team you love, McLaren and I like other Ferrari Tifosi will defend mine. I didn't see the stuff that has been happenning in F1 this bad and exagerated up until the 2007 season. This is when Lewis Hamilton came into the picture. I don't know what it is but maybe Max Mosley doesn't like him and wants to see him lose. May be Mosley is racist and doesn't want to see a black man win. I don't know but it wasn't this bad prior 2007. There was the odd thing happening here and there but not the extent of now. Ferrari happens to be the team that can only challenge Lewis Hamilton right now. Not even Hamilon's team mate can challenge right now. If it were Alonso at Renault Vs Hamilton for the title instead of Massa against Hamilton I bet all this contravesay would still happen and go Alonso's way. But he wouldn't be Ferrari but Renault. I think Mosley hates Hamilton and Ron Dennis for that matter and is siding with whoever it is that can come close to beating them and that team for the last 2 years just happens to be Ferrari. I don't believe Ferrari are cheats, I think it is just Mosley that is a racist prick and Ferrari unfortunitly is tangled in all this.

Sounds to me like you can't make up your mind. I know you want Ferrari to win that's great, but they need to win without FIA just handing them points, they did so at SPA and they did it again at Japan (against Bourdais and Weber NOT driving Mclarens). If there was the slightest issue with any other team against Ferrari they would have done it again in China. I'm sure you believe that everyone complaining about FIA's recent calls are just one sided Mclaren fans, but you are wrong. My Ferrari fan friends that aren't on this site can't even explain what's going on and agree that some of these recent calls are BS. You said so yourself in a previous post. Wether or not FIA will let the last race run it's course without interference is yet to be seen, we will all just have to wait.

PS. I'm not a Mclarenite I just think that Hamilton deserves the WDC. Not based on his arrogance or off track comments, but on the fact that he's with a strong team and he knows how to get the best out of his car. I think he has brought a level of entertainment to the sport that would have been missing without Schumacher. He is not loved by a lot of fans and he has made his enemies on the track also, but then again ENVY is a strong emotion.

You also have to factor into the equation that Formula One relies on television ratings. As much as the FIA mightn't get along with McLaren, banning from competing, penalising them after every single Grand Prix etc. would not be good for business. The FIA want to see a competitive, but ultimately unsuccessful rival for Ferrari at the minute, and that's basically what we've got now.
