I don't believe that any driver will deliberately take LH out of the Brazilian GP. They're all professionals and will all want to do the best they can in their own cars.
There were a few things that happened in China that I thought were interesting.
1. Alonso shook Hamilton's hand just after they'd parked their cars.
2. Hamilton and Kimi were talking and smiling at the fact Hamilton's trophy was broken on the podium
3. Massa defended LH driving style.
Now I know LH isn't the most popular driver but seeing these things makes me think that in actual fact the situation between LH and the other drivers isn't as bad as the press are making out.
The other thing is if Hamilton REALLY wanted to secure the title all he would have to do is knock Massa out of the race even if he took himslef with him
Yet no one is suggesting LH will do this to Massa. Or that HK will do this to Massa. So why is there paranoia that another driver will do it to LH?
People need to get a grip

I know that's not Kimis style which might explain the hesitance and dancing around on the pit straight but maybe driving for Ferrari's starting to rub off on him now.
However, I do think that Kimi made a couple of attempts at getting Hamilton to crash into him when it started raining at Spa. Even Kimi said that he only wanted the win and nothing else would do. He may not be out to get him in Brazil but I have no doubt that if it's 50:50 on one of them having to give way then it won't be kimi yielding"""
I dont believe you just said that. kimi really not the type of guy. I even at some point I would like it if that his intention next time he gets a chance but fact of the matter I really do not thing its in the iceman's arsenal
Tony_sa wrote:stonemonkey .... i think it will be in order for me to defend kimi's actions in the WET. thats what it was .. he was being careful for he practically no grip. That's fair enough, it's what I thought initally (about the wet) and I have no proof of what I thnk now. It was only after seeing the onboard footage from Hamiltons car that it looked like that to me. The other thing was that he gave Hamilton no room on the first part of the chicane and if they had both gone out of the race then it would've been better for Kimis championship chances at the time.
I wont change your opinion i guess but thats my view on it.

lol.
thepitlane wrote:Well, the 50:50 situation I mentioned between Kimi and Hamilton with Kimi not giving way may apply to Hamilton and Massa with Hamilton not giving way but it's a much bigger risk, possible penalty and loss of points or Hamilton out of the race and Massa able to continue. As for Heikki, well he's got to catch up with them first.texasmr2 wrote:thepitlane wrote:wow great reply's to my original postOK how about this, you could have made this comment/statement in one of the 2-3 thread's that are already discussing that scenario without starting a new thread

okay i was only joking hence the smilie used.
And also I think it's a slightly different issue to the already crammed thread you directed me to.
My point being that Hamilton could just as easily end Massa's hopes yet no one thinks he will do that however there is a lot thinking that Hamiltons race will be ended by another driver.

This is particularly interesting if you look at the history of the "bump to win" strategy, of punting out your opponent to win a championship at a critical last race. Many people point to Schumacher for '97, but MS himself said that he'd arrived in F1 just after the "events" between Senna and Prost. Where Prost won in '89 by (as Senna believed) manipulating an accident with Senna, and Senna returned the "favour" the next year. In both of these years, the punting and winning driver was driving a McLaren. So historically, this could be said to be a McLaren strategy. And if there's any concern that it might happen again, then an aggressive McLaren driver should be considered a potential perpetrator.
