Well it was one helluva race, but there were too many safety cars in the first hour. I had fun, but it got really cold in the closing hour, but I did get signatures from Frank Montagny, Tony Kanaan, Gil de Ferren, and Simon Pagenaud! :thumbup:

I really wanted Emmanule Pirro's signature since this was his last race for Audi, but the line was HUGE. Same deal for Castroneves, and Briscoe.

Here are some of the pics that I took.

Later in the day, during the same race. Different spot.

The safety car periods gave me excellent opportunities to get great pictures of the cars on the track.

And I took these to give you an idea of where I was on the track in between turns 4 and 5.

Thanks for the great photographs. When looking at them, it highlighted one of the things that I feel is wrong with Formula One: the fans are closed off from all the action.

Absolutely, some pictures there with a good view of the track whereas if you go to Silverstone getting that close is a no-no. Great picutres Rive. :thumbup:

Yes those are super karts, and sadly I didnt see them in action. They were the very first to practice at 8 in the morning on Saturday, and I didnt arrive til 9. They did race on Sunday, but I didnt go Sunday because the ALMS race was on Saturday. I have seen them in the past though and they are insanely quick.
