Alonso and Raikkonen at Ferrari, and Hamilton and Vettel at McLaren... that would be a pretty epic battle if it ever came about (not likely but it's fun to speculate :P ).

It would be an epic battle if McLaren gave Heikki more chance to win. Too much focus on Lewis.

I think Vettel is more loyal to the BMW side of germany rather than the Mercedes brand, so I think hes going to head back that way after his Red Bull stint

Alonso will be at ferrari one day,
Lewis wont be at mclaren forever,
Kimi will retire,
massa will join a midfield team,
senna, di grassi, grosjean are future stars,
kubica will win in 2009

Where do you think he might end up if he does leave McClaren one day? It would be hysterical if it was Ferrari. Peoples' heads would explode.

I don't think people's heads would explode.

Kimi went to Ferrari after years at McLaren.

It's not the Schumi/Mika years, it's a business, so drivers will go where there is money, and a chance to win.

Not renault, thats for sure! :irked:

You never know. 5 years from now, things could be very different. Maybe even Alonso goes back to a Ron Dennis-less McClaren.

I meant some of the more vociferous fans of the various parties would have re-examine their deeply held beleifs/grudges/biases were it to happen. I have no doubt they would though and virtually overnight too. It's easy to rationalize all kinds of things.

As in all things media, I wonder if something wasn't taken out of context here. If not, I think it pretty sad of Alonso to say such things right after Renault gave him two wins. That team is obviously trying very hard, and while I blame the team completely for their fall from grace (we are leaving F1, no we are not, yes we are...no, actually we are not), and I like Alonso as a driver, I think he should practice a little more restraint when it comes to opening his mouth. What will the McLaren fans believe if going into a corner at the next race, Hammy runs into the back of Alonso? Another conspiracy theory that the rest of us will have to hear for years on end about how Alonso short braked him. No matter what the circumstances, if Alonso and Hamilton get near each other on the track....the McLaren people will get all wound up....because Alonso had to open his mouth and say he will help Massa.

Yes, I think his hatred for McLaren is justified. If a team I was driving for wrapped me up in a scandal of dishonor, theft and outright lies...and then got caught because they were stupid enough to leave proof sitting in emails on their server...I would be more than a little miffed myself. I put Ron Dennis in the same mold as Max Mosley personally. Not to mention how they treated Alonso versus Hammy. With that said, justifiably hating someone is one thing, mouthing off about it in the press is something altogether different. I do wish Alonso would shut up sometimes, he does himself no favors when he mouths off....same as Hammy.

The emails were not on the server they were on De la Rosa and Alonso's laptops. First anyone knew was when Alonso used it to try and blackmail Dennis. Alonso tried to retract the threat but Dennis and Whitmarsh had gone straght to the FIA. Your facts are a little muddled. Yes there was dishonour, hatred and stupidity but your levelling it at the wrong people.

From F1 Live:

While the whereabouts of Fernando Alonso for 2009 is not set in stone, speculation about the Spaniard's future is likely to remain rife.

Although the former champion is expected to stay at Renault next year, Honda is making no secret that it is keeping a seat open for him.

The 27-year-old, meanwhile, often says his real preference is Ferrari, the famous Italian team that has vowed to stick with Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa.

But until Alonso makes an official announcement some time after the Brazilian Grand Prix, the rumours are set to persist.

The latest speculation is in the Spanish newspaper AS, which says Alonso and Raikkonen could be the subject of a seat swap for 2009.

"I really believe that with whatever team I will be with next season that I will be able to fight for the championship," Alonso said in China.

The rumours were perhaps sparked by the interview given last weekend to La Gazzetta dello Sport by Flavio Briatore, who emphasised Renault's relationship with Ferrari.

"It is logical that I support Ferrari, as an Italian, as Flavio Briatore, as Renault, for the relationship we have with Ferrari," he said.

Well if he 'shunts' Lewis off the track in Brazil, he is almost certain to get a Ferrari seat Image

They should make a secret deal. Alonso shunts Lewis Hamilton off. Massa becomes world champion and as a deal for this bargain, Massa trades his Ferrari seat for Alonso's Renault seat. Then that way Massa still gets to be the World Champion and Alonso gets to drive for Ferrari and become world champion in 2009. If only it were all up to me to decide this fate. :hehe:

Hi,

My name is AKR i'm really shallow and don't really care who drives for my team just as long as they Win, also i really like the colour red because its the colour of ferrari.

And if Massa wins by having Kimi or Alonso ram Lewis off the track then i would be very very happy this again is because i'm shallow and not really an F1 Fan or fan of the sport in general i'm just like to see Ferrari's win by any means necessary.

Because Ferrari are the bestest team ever.

Because i like red cars.

And i hate Silver Cars

And i Hate drivers who drive with yellow helmets

Unless they drive for Ferrari then there ok.

Thats what your saying about yourself.
