its a shame theres not something riding on it for me :( long as rennies do well itll be ok

Too bad that the Renault has become a great car this far into the season. Having their current performance mid way through the season, we would all be talking about completely different story!

i know, its pretty dissapointing, better up at the end tho than down

I'm curious as to how all the new rules and reg's will effect the Renault next year considering the stupendous progress they have made?

Mclaren deserve it, its been so long

McLaren deserve it because Hamilton has been a better driver than both Massa and Raikkonen and McLaren have been the better team all season.

McLaren has made fewer mistakes than Ferrari this season and did well to quickly iron out the one or two teething problems the MP4-23 had - all of this with the FIA inspecting the car's plans, having taken $100,000,000 of the team's cash - and not to mention God-knows-how-many points.

well if you start with the 218 constructors points they nicked in 07 and work from there.

SPEED TV actually did a % comparison this morning. Ferrari had more driver error's while McLaren had more team error's and the calculation's to the point's lost due to these error's where Mass 36 points lost and Hamilton 35 point's lost.

Anyway it has been a very intense season and I have enjoyed the racing but not the politics. Brazil is gonna be a whopper of a race and so intense I can hardly stand it!!

Wow. Over 70 points lost between them for various reasons. Would never have thought it was that high. I agree - I think Brasil is going to be nail-biting for about 24 hrs beforehand. I'm not quite so confident that it's all but wrapped up for LH. Maybe if his engine had blown in Fuji I'd be a little calmer.

The chances are the engine fault in Fuji was debries getting in somwhere and overheating it

Possibly, and normally the incident alone wouldn't have been a worry, but having to use their joker because of suspected damage prior to Singapore adds to that. Still, I don't think Lewis will have any issues with it at Brazil.

If he races like today it should be a case of quaifying as high up the grind as possible then just driving around 1st 2nd or 3rd i expect
