If team orders are against the rules, how come there is no penalty against ferrari for China farce in the closing stages. If they wanted to confirm you'd only have to check Raikonnen's telemetary to see he'd lifted off to let Massa by, and Raikonnen practically admitted it in the press conference.
Why did no one hardly mention it after? There was a big hoo haa when Scumacher (and I think Barichello?) did a last lap swap for points a few years back.

The difference there was that the team ordered Barrichello to let Schumacher through. In this case, the team expected Raikkonen to let Massa through for the championship, but didn't actually get on to the radio and tell him to move over.

What are you on about? Kimi had a problem with his car :hehe:

Ok, seriously, it would be team orders if he was officially told to let Massa by. Maybe he was, but you can't prove it and Ferrari would never admit to it. Actually, no team would and it happened before this year. There's no penalty for slowing down.

yeah nothing wrong with it at this stage of the year, although if that were McLaren im sure they would have been penalised by now :hehe:

True. :hehe:

I don't see anything wrong with what happened today. It was the logical thing to do. It was not as if Raikkonen was still in the title race. What is disgusting, however, is nominating a driver to win the title before the season even starts.

My opinion is that is was not a blatant team order so a penalty could not be given. My reasoning is that even if the FIA inspected the pass they cannot tell if Kimi's tire's were going off or not, that is a driver's determination/opinion and not something that can honestly be tracked by telemetry.

The team orders are basically set up so the drivers are technically acting off their own back during the races, and as such cannot be proved as team orders. It's lame, but to be expected so whatever really.

Nope. If so, then how come they werent penalized in Germany?

not the same really was it?

Well, yes and no, but that's not the point. bud was only being sarcastic.

Yeah, what i'm trying to say is Lewis was actually faster whereas kimi slowed down.

it was a little more obvious.
