Rumours are circulating that Honda are gonna bin their Pig on wheels and have a completely new car for the Canadian GP, An extreme reaction to an extreme situation, surely by now Button must be wondering if he can jump ship? a ship with wheels attached could be better than the Honda.

To go from the front of the grid to the back of the grid over the winter, that takes a special kind of idiot.

Why not just use the reasonably successful 2006 spec, surely it can't be hard to convert? At least it's drivable! :D

That's what I was wondering, why not go back to the old car? McLaren nearly won the Championship with Raikonnen in 2003 in the 2002 car!

Also Williams in 1989 did most of the races in 1989 with a modified FW12 chassis (the FW12C) as it took them a long while to prepare the FW13 which was purpose built for the new Renault engines.

Well, if its rumored then that's probably what they plan to do. But I'm not sure how the FIA will feel about that. I believe its against regulations to use last years car, the same problem Super Aguri is having.

So much for cost saving then! Aside from altering the chassis to accomodate new crash structures, is there anything else they need to do? Drop the engine in (albeit not that simple) and hey presto.

It would be if it was a Scalextric engine. :P

It would be simple though wouldn't it? I thought the Engine they are using this year is the same one they had to use towards the end of last year for the Engine Freeze rule?

It would be a Honda car. The problem Super Aguri have is not that it is last years car, but the fact it is last years Honda. The teams are entitled to run their own car, no matter how old provided it conforms to current regulations. McLaren and Ferrari have both done it in recent years, McLaren ran a car for two full seasons a few years ago when their "new" car repeatedly failed the crash tests and was abandoned.

i don't think Honda are allowed to use their 2006 car, as far as i have read they "sold" the rights to SA for the 06 car.

Yep, Honda is screwed then.

yup the pretty much are screwed. Only thing they can do is rebuild an eniter new car. And while there at it, they may follow Ferrari and there F2007 longer wheelbase. Its clear the Bridgestone tyres favor the Ferraris chassis then anyone elses. They have work so close together for so long.

Honda need to pull there heads out of there arse or they will end up like Toyota, a team with a huge budget but has got no were

The RA107 will go down in history amongst some of the most embarrasingly crap cars to ever have raced. :P

even Rubens Barrichello has said the car is crap.("its all over the track, it just wont stick") < or something like that . Hes not happy with Honda at the min. Bet he thinking he should of stayed at Ferrari, he could of been in massas place.

I'm not sure he had a choice TBH. If he did, back then he was number two and his future looked bleak (if you call coming second to Schumacher bleak). Hindsight eh?

we all know what Honda can do, six time constructor champions, as well as five driver championships to there name as a engine supplier, but bringing it all together to produce a race winning car is token them them longer then they think.

But its not all there fault, with pressure from Button and his rising wage packet after his 1st win, they are a rock in hard place with a lot of work to do
