Hamilton initially pushed Raikkonen well-wide and Kovalainen, who had just had his team-mate cut straight across the front of him (which could have cost a less alert driver a front wing), then had to brake hard in order to not smash in to the back of Hamilton who was, effectively, a passenger. Unfortunately, by having to do this, it meant that Raikkonen was sent further wide. As a result of what he did, he also caused Kovalainen to have to take to the run-off area to avoid the cars behind him running into him.

If it had been a regular first corner incident where the move had a chance of succeeding and wasn't from a ridiculous distance, maybe it would just be a first corner incident and not something silly and dangerous.

You seriously think in that split moment he was listening to the team radio, assuming there was a call to not go for the hole shot? and im sorry he is still only 23 and 2 seasons in and at that age your instincts get the better of you in the cockpit no matter what. I mean if he does become champion he will be the youngest ever so that says something doesnt it?

But ultimately Lewis can never do anything right with you! and when he makes a mistake you jump right on it!

Well, in my defence I did congrat him on some perfect races he had this season...

That aside, I think in general he does not listen to the team radio - one of his downsides. He does hear them, but doesn't listen to them. Like in Budapest qualifying last year...

two Mclaren 1-2 and Ferrari are screwed Ferrari by no means dominated today and by no means without the help of the FIA yet again did they come away with meaningful points

Hamilton is practically the only driver in Mclaren. He has received next to no back up from Kovi who spends most of his time fighting for 5th place! There is no chance that Mclaren are getting any 1-2 as long as Kovi is in the car. Ferrari have made mistakes and they should count themselves lucky that Massa is still in the title hunt had some FIA penalties not gone their way. Kimi will back up from now on and Hamilton will have to take on Ferrari by himself. 2 against 1. Advantage Ferrari I say

Kovi was unlucky today but that doesn't erase the fact that he has not done as well as he should in a Mclaren car
