Yup, and it's gonna be a nuclear winter if Ferrari wins it. And if McLaren wins it, hell will freeze over

Hey, did anyone actually watch the "incident". I have studied it in slow-mo and Lewis was nowhere near Kimi who had turned away to the left well before the corner. In fact it was Kovalinen who pushed Kimi off the track.

I was actually going to post almost exactly the same thing, Kimi would have been able to turn in and make the corner if Kovalinen hadn't have outbraked himself behind Hamilton.

Hamilton's move may have been clean, but it could have been disastrous - he was locked-up, and was therefore out of control at 180mph

Agree with that, however the penalty was in my view unfair, for the reason above, and because no one has been penalised for exactly the same kind of thing at a first corner before. However, had Hamilton used his head he would have sat behind Kimi until it calmed down and then made a move, so he brought it upon himself, as he seems to have a habit of doing when he's under pressure.

I am a Hamilton fan - as a driver, not a person - but it's races like today that show he is not ready to be the lead driver for a team like McLaren, and he is certainly not ready to be World Champion!

Anyway, I'm going back under my rock now! :lurker:

Yeah, and don't forget your coat! There are some ferocious LH lambs on here that are unforgiving to such remarks :hehe::whip:

I've played that game, and whilst the graphics are nice the physics are horrible and arcadey. Get RFactor on the PC instead. ;)

Some of the arguements here are useless. You can dissect LH's move all day long to see if it breached the rules fair or not but at the end of the day, it was just not necessary to push your teammate far right into the wall then collect three other cars far left into the first corner, was this move legal?? Who cares!! but it wasn't necessary because all he had to do was stay in front of Massa and it would have been home sweet home. LH will be a Championship some day but he is stil a young man and he needs to learn when to be aggressive and when not to be aggressive and yesterday was a good example (also last year same track) and he needs to learn his from his mistakes and it seems he still hasn't. Like Kubica said, he drives agressively when its not necessary.

Particularly when he had a major whine about Alonso doing such at Spa-Francorchamps last year.

Yes we all know he didnt need to win the race, we know he only needed to beat Massa but at the end of the day you cannot get penalised for having a "bad attitude" can you

Not "bad attitude" but more like brain fart and stupidity. He didn't learn the first time (last year) that's brain fart, he made the same mistake, that's stupidity. If LH buys into all the conspiracy theory about the FIA is out to get him & McLaren, then change your race strategy, don't push your mate into the wall, let him pass and hang out behind him and Kimi and no doubt your mate will let you pass either on the track or in the pits. This is LH's own doing, its his own damn fault and lets not blame everyone else, at least LH is consistent, in that he doesn't see what is wrong with his driving style.

You cannot get penalised for "brain farts" either mate

Simple fact is we all know Lewis duck up, yes we know he should have played it safer, but what im pissed off about, and what most are pissed off about is that he was given yet ANOTHER dubious penalty. He would have to be leading the standings in the penalty stakes this year surely?
Braking late for the first corner IS racing of course sometimes guys outbrake the corner and go wide but please go and re watch every race in the last decade and tell me there was not similar first corner incidents with no penalties handed out. I guarantee youll find plenty
