hi everyone,greetings from the continent without a gp.you you guessed it america+ our canadian pals eh? i,m a 62 year old f1 fan and f1 artist living in connecticut u.s.a. i,ve been going to f1 races since 1964 when i was in the air force in germany.hasn't been a year since that i haven't gone to atleast 1 race.at some point i will post photos of my paintings.iv'e shown my work at/in montreal-indy-watkins glen-ct/lime rock-monaco-japan et al.teams and drivers have my work.j.alesi,s.speed,beneton,d.hill,penske,lyn st. james,villeneuve musse' etc.i'm a huge gilles fan huge! tattoed his helmet on my arm the day he left us [was doing a painting of him at the time]-then rode a bicycle to his funreal 450 miles apox.next year will be my 45th year in a row of f1 so iy now looks like i'll have to get up a game plan to get on the right side of the pond. ya'all take care.go kimi,seb.b. seb.v,hekki and r.k.-- burdine.

Dang Bert you started attending F1 race's the year I was born which I find to be kinda neat. I'm sure your experience will add alot to the forum and I'm sure we would all love to see some of your work. Welcome to the forum and let us know if you need anything ok?

gregg,yeah well when i'm in the ground you'll still be going to gp's.one of my indy f1 buddies lives in c.c texas-he ain't got a computer though. stephen say's he will post art when i send him a file.will ship it out the weekend of the china gp.yeah i need the canadian gp back on the sched---also indy.we had about 25 of us show up almost every year.i went to them all-sombody had to bring in the exotic beer.i'd fill up the hatch in my saab 9000 turbo w/about 8 cases.you could not beat it $50.parking all weekend right across the street from the track.free ticket to the race from my friend bob-indy vender #1[yeah #1]great cookouts/stories.nothing beats camping at a f1 the people you meet/builds bonds.bernie dosen't get it.who do you meet in a hotel room? take care gregg enjoy the race tonight.

Sound's like alot of good time's you have had, I'm envious. Hope you enjoy the race also because I know I will. I'm pretty simple about F1, if I get to watch a race I'm a happy man :wink: .

Welcome to the forum. It's great to somebody with such a vast wealth of experience on board. This forum tends to made up of people who have mainly followed Formula One since the 1980s and 70s, so it would be amazing to hear some first-hand stories of what it was like to watch Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark and others.

OMG Were those painted!

yup hand painted/airbrushed on plexiglass.that's me holding a orig. red bull bottle wearing a auto'ed scott speed hat.ben doing it since dirt[ 5yrs old-1st real pro show1977]that was at lime rock park[interlocken inn-auto art show]i also work on canvas they cost$$ a bit less.most stuff is$450.00 up-plexi's $$=complexity at$1000.00 up/tables $2,000 up.discounts for f1 fans i dig. working on a senna in lotus cockpit/head shot[commission]lew/ham.mario-lotus cockpit-g.hill lotus/monaco = others.soon to be online at a gallery in montreal'. thanks for everyone's kind words. burdine.
