Mclaren are certainly not unravelling: But Hamilton certainly is.

After the race he left the circuit in anger, but had to come back (probably Daddy said). Mclaren know how to win titles, they realise that sometimes you have to finish 2nd or 3rd on the day, but still receieve big points.
Hamilton though doesn't get that, the man is in a position where he could be champion, but risking himself by going all out.
And his fighting talk ain't helping him.
What have I always been saying - he believe's his own hype in a very very bad way.
I do hope he's a bit more careful next weekend, cause if Mclaren lose because of him, that would be s***.

How do you know he left the circuit in anger? He got back mighty quickly, about 10mins at most after the race ended he was being interviewed  when incidentaly he admitted to makng a mistake and said that in hindsight of course he would have done differently. But he had to make a split second decision and i dont think he needs people who have never turned a wheel in anger to keep telling him it was a wrong decison.

Hey! I don't agree with Hamilton's penalty. His start was a bit iffy and he was unfairly pushed out of the way.
I haven't turned a wheel in anger, neither am I there to make the split second decisions - but neither are you or most on this forum yet they can still have a pro- Lewis voice?
It's always is the same. I think Mclaren were hard done by today, but I think some of that was Hamilton's doing.

And you've pissed me off bud - read back in this thread when the race had initially finished. Look and you'll see I said I disagreed with the penalty.
Don't tar me with the same brush you f***ing seem to tar anyone not in a vodafone cap with.

Mclaren are starting to unravel just like last year. Lewis made such a big deal all season about playing the percentage game and then in a split second throws the race away. Instincts told him to go for the win but I am sure that Ron Dennis sat him down and said just beat Massa and he didn't do it. This tells me he is still immature and not the "best driver in F1" as he likes to go around bragging.

Ferrari are still not to their slick best but they are ahead in the Constructors and Massa gained a point on Lewis. So all and all not too bad.

Good victory for Alonso and it means that he will definitely stay with Renault for at least one more year. Honda are too risky even if Ross Brawn is running the team.

How are McLaren starting to unravel? Hamilton - one guy out of 1,500 - made a mistake, and Kovalainen's engine packed-in. The first time a Mercedes unit has failed in God-knows-how-long. It happens from time to time. I would also dispute that McLaren unraveled last season. Despite all of the off-track politics, McLaren should have won the drivers' title - but Alonso crashed in China and Hamilton botched things up in China and Brazil - and had the constructors' championship stolen by the FIA.

By unravel I mean making stupid mistakes. Mistakes that a top team like them should not be making. I know mistakes happen but it is these mistakes around this critical time in the season that screwed up the year in 2007 and could do in 2008. Two Ferrari 1-2's and Massa is the champion and another year Mclaren can say we lost cause we screwed up.

two Mclaren 1-2 and Ferrari are screwed  Ferrari by no means dominated today and by no means without the help of the FIA yet again did they come away with meaningful points

Hamilton is practically the only driver in Mclaren. He has received next to no back up from Kovi who spends most of his time fighting for 5th place! There is no chance that Mclaren are getting any 1-2 as long as Kovi is in the car. Ferrari have made mistakes and they should count themselves lucky that Massa is still in the title hunt had some FIA penalties not gone their way. Kimi will back up from now on and Hamilton will have to take on Ferrari by himself. 2 against 1. Advantage Ferrari I say

Kovi was unlucky today but that doesn't erase the fact that he has not done as well as he should in a Mclaren car

shall we go back and see all the other tech failures he has had in strong starting positions??

but hey in a McLaren car i guess even Alonso would win after his cars electronics fail him on the starting grid at Monaco forcing him to start dead last.... thats just an example but you get my point

Really? 'Cause he's had...five(?) races where he's been really on the pace and struck by bad luck. Australia he was set for a second-place finish until the safety car came out. Spain he was on for another podium until his tyre failed. Monaco, he qualified on the front row but a technical glitch caused the car to stall and he had to start from the pits. In clear air he was on the same pace as the leaders. Turkey he qualified on the front row, if I remember correctly, but was struck by Raikkonen's front wing and ended up with a puncture, ending all chances of a podium. In Canada, he had to take an additional pit stop which put him down towards the back of the points-paying positions. And then, finally, today, he had an engine failure which cost him what looked like it could have been a win.

I'd say he's doing better than most imagine.

Better late than never, but Fernando was great!

The spanish god may have not given Renault .5s but he's had several great races superb Qs and has made them look like a podium team again. Great racing and great way to comeback.

Only because both McLaren's hit Kimi at the start who probably would of won the race had the McLaren on track cheats not done that. So good for McLaren getting ZERO points.
