12. KR is not a team player imho even when it is needed the most and does not justify his $51M/per year contract and I wont be crying when he retire's or leave's Ferrari which cannot be soon enough for me.

Now this is just what you need in F1, somebody prepared to stand up to team orders and disobey them, even if it's somebody who goes into the wall as soon as they see a Johnnie Walker advertising board. :P

MMmmm. Folk seem to change their opinions about team orders, depending on who is doing the obeying or the disobeying

:hehe:

Man, if only Rubens had disobeyed them. Then again, I guess he wouldn't have driven for Ferrari afterwards, and he'd have been far less successful (unless McLaren had signed him instead of Juan Pablo).

NO WAY!!!!

I could not see any reason for them not to. Barrichello is a very fast driver and is by far a more complete package than Montoya is/was. He had a much better level of physical fitness, was by far a more consistent driver (which, if he had been with McLaren for the years alongside Raikkonen, could have helped them along to a title) and, in my eyes at least, was far stronger in mind as well. Montoya had a very short temper which isn't exactly a great quality for any sportsperson.

But Juan was a better more exciting driver. Rubens couldnt have pulled some of those moves on schmacher even if he did put in solid drives.

Excitement =/= world championships. And I reckon he could have, but when was he ever allowed to?

No I agree he wasnt allowed to in the Ferrari , but in a different team he could have but he would not have put it on the line like juan did. Also Head likes racers and would not have wanted someone who was not prepared to fight.

Sorry I just realised you said in the McLaren, I was thinking of when he joined Williams. Similar applies tho.

He was quite prepared to fight, and did so on many occasions. On the other hand, Juan more than likely could not have pulled things like this off:

That was great thanks for that. Yes a great race there. Rubens obviously excels in action packed races with lunatics on the track  .He won at Silverstone in 2003 too (With the loony vicar dressed as a bird)

However, I still like Montoya better, think he would have won in a shoot out between the two of them and he'd be the one that I'd chose to be in my team :)

Is Kubica complaining again? I really used to like him, but he's turned into precisely the type of driver I hate: a bitter and selfish twat. If I recall, Kubica ran Kovalainen off the road in Singapore, and in fact damaged his car by crashing into him. Was this not unfair or dangerous? I've seen nothing dangerous from Hamilton, although I do agree that is sometimes too cocky for his own good. Formula One drivers are wimps now. They have no conception of what dangerous really is and are always criticising others to make themselves look good. Take Alonso's comments on the Hamilton-Raikkonen incident at Spa. They were completely motivated by jealousy, for he did something far worse in Singapore two weeks ago and in the 2005 Japanese Grand Prix.

I knew Lewis was over-aggressive, but I didn't think it was a topic at the drivers meeting
Also, Kubica, I've been disliking his attitude for quite a while now. Its really put me of him as a driver. But that's his choice, so whatever.

But I mean, what are they going to do really. Tell Lewis to slow down. Of course not, Lewis is too arrogant to listen at times. But I'll admit he was controlled behind DC. Personally I don't mind, as long as he gets penalized correctly, and crashed once in a while. Say fuji :D

I wouldn't say that. Enough of them have had big enough shunts to say otherwise. It would also depend entirely on what you believe to be dangerous.

Kubica is not complaining, he is just saying what he thinks! I feel bad for today's drivers because they get slammed for not talking enough and are considered boring, and when they finally open up they get slammed for 'complaining' or whining.
