I can't believe Magny-Cours is going to get a slot next year but Montreal won't.

And it will get another reprieve once we've all been bored to death by that tedious race, Catalunya-wn will get permanent slot on the Calendar until the end of time and then Monaco will get ditched for a street circuit around Baghdad, :banghead:

You know, a street race around Baghdad wouldn't be too bad. All chicane-cutting will be punished with RPG-fire. :)

What they should have done is had a trial-run at Yas Island before making any of this final, although that is a race I am looking forward to. Still, Canada has held two great races in the past two years - how many other circuits can say that?!

^ Pfft. IFCRAGCS should be its name.

In 2006, Legault stated that an agreement maintaining the Canadian round of the championship until 2011 had been reached with Bernie Ecclestone.

I wonder what Bernie's excuse will be? He lost it? Or used the back of the hard copy of the agreement to play a game of Noughts and Crosses on it.

I knew his hit-back at Di Montezemolo yesterday was too good to be true.

Guess he wanted to join the legion of the clowns but was too scared to make a public announcement, instead slamming them whilst preparing his red nose and big shoes. :(

Absolutely f***ing disgusting. I thought the FIA were meant to be promoting exciting race? Aye, good idea, folks, let's bin one of the most exciting Grands Prix of year and a venue with brilliant fans etc. On top of this, Formula One has no presence in North America. How does that help to make the sport economically viable, given that North America is a key market for automobile companies? On top of that, the FIA and Ecclestone cannot even handle the decision-making process properly. Imagine the track authorities finding out through the media. Pathetic and amateurish. Hang your heads in shame.

Gilles Villeneuve just turned in his grave... :(

And Jacques will probably be going bald now.

It means there isn't a race I can go to so it's extra sad for me.
It could just be a move to get the organizer to fix the facility. It happened regarding the 2004 race.

I first heard of it this time on the local news radio station. The sports dept there knows less about F1 than a garden snail. The lady pronounces the fictitious word "fea" for F.I.A. I get really annoyed when people talk about it when they know nothing about it, especially when they use an expert tone of voice.

ARE YOU :censored: KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS GOING TO THAT RACE NEXT YEAR!!!!!!! IT WAS GOING TO BE MY FIRST F1 GP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw you Bernie!!!! You are a complete fool, you've screwed over Americans way too damn much and now you just screwed over the Canadian's and all of North America. Why dont you go die Bernie.

F1 will be back in the USA in the next few years - im sure of that.
Teams and their sponsors NEED a race there. Especially in these economic times.
Canada - I don't think so.
To say Canada didn't have the motor racing heritage of a Silverstone or Spa is a travesty.
It goes to show how easy the "traditional" GRAND Prix's could be dropped to be replaced by money marketing.

Will there ever come a time when these people make a decision that doesn't make it more apparent their heads are in their arses? Seriously, how many completely fooked up things do these idiots feel they need to do in one year? I am floored by this act of brilliance.
